Our tradition is to fly to Utah prior to Christmas for a ski trip, and we always stop in Salt Lake to see how beautifully lit up the Temple is.  And we get there arond 5 PM to hear the Mormon Tabernacle rehearse...Beautiful voices and they are all volunteers.  There are over 3 million lights on the grounds with Christmas vignettes, big crowds, music...It is truly beautiful.  A

We have a very unusual family tradition - Christmas Eve pizza.  

When my parents were alive, it was Christmas Eve, and remember it fondly.

Now it is a walk on the beach by the Atlantic Ocean on Juno Beach in Florida.

hot coco and old Christmas movies with each family member picking one favorite. It lasts a few evenings around Christmas and we love it.

In the last couple of years I have started some new traditions. I don't have a favorite yet, but they are all fun. 

They change over the years.  I guess my favorite is making fudge and popcorn balls like my mother did.  She died when I was young and my father continued the tradition.  I try to keep it going.

Our tradition is to have Brunch at my son's house.  There's nothing like having your family Christmas meal of smoked bacon, scrambled eggs and taco salad. That's not how I grew up!

The whole tradition of Christmas is my favorite. From the celebration and reflection of Jesus Christ and His love to coming home after a long Christmas day with family and watching my girls explore their new gifts. It's a small part of each year where I get to focus solely on just how amazing this life we are given can be. The tradition of reflecting on all the days of the year and how they lead me to the most magical place, which is wherever God leads me to be.

Being with family always ranks #1, Roy Kelley ... but as we've added grandkids I guiltily admit to adding "spoiling the grandkids" to my list!  Nothing else even comes close to spending time with them and seeing the fun they're having during the Holidays and on Christmas Day ...

 Good morning Roy. Watching it's a wonderful life.

My favorite was riding in our sleigh when there was enough snow to hitch it up to a couple of our horses. My father would usually take it into town and haul Santa Claus around and give all the kids rides in it. If there was no snow, then we'd use one of our haywagons and haul everybody around in it and sing Christmas Carols and drink hot cocoa and toddies. I miss those days. Life was so much simpler.
