No, i am an employee of my company and pay taxes every month, and not as much as i would if i paid quaterly.

I pay them early.  We have more than one business and I pay early so I know that whatever is left is mine to spend or in my case invest. 

I have not yet had to start, since up to this year I was working an 8-5 job.  I will likely have to start this year though.  I did pay quarterlies once a decade or so ago.  Not sure why, since I was still doing an 8-5 or maybe I was between jobs for a slight spell.  Not sure.

Yes.  I put 25-30% of each commission aside in a tax account and empty it quarterly.  

Absolutely, when you add up penalties you have the money wasted for a great vacation.

Trash is part of city tax since many are tardy have liens that drives recorder office nuts.....
