I would immediately give every member of staff a huge raise. This is an amazing platform that has a few MINOR editing issues from time to time. I want to personally thank Bob Stewart for helping my business to succeed and providing me with the tools and education that put me miles ahead of my local market. Thank you ActiveRain!

John-
Work on the ActiveRain Blog Editor. I've read of many members who have had off and on issues with posting. This can be frustrating when trying to post and move on to something else. If it takes too long to post or if it's too hard, then members will move on else where.

Jim,
It is always easy to make suggestions from the outside looking in. And we are not really looking in. It is just our imagination at work. This is a philosophy we have always adhered to...To make intelligent and valid suggestions, I would have to be inside the organization observing and interviewing the Execs.
However, I think that AR has done an admirable job in taking over, fixing the major issues, and being responsive to our questions, and I heartily endorse Susan Emo 's suggestions and join her in thanking all the staff for everything they have done thus far. I see it getting better and better. A

I like Michael Thacker - Louisville Realtor response. We need to have a system to keep the clowns off the site. Other than that I'd say the Rain is in highly capable hands right now. Ben Kinney and Bob Stewart are working on a lot of things behind the scenes as well as reviving what used to be RainCamp.

I don't know what more this site could provide to it's memberts. There are tons of webinars, podcasts, and how-tos already in the archives that covers just about every aspect of the real estate business. In fact, there's enough gold that's been produced by the owners of this site and Bob Stewart to make every realtor on this site a multi-millionare should they ever decide to heed all of the advice.
What more would you want? All the rest that has been mentioned is minor programming or cosmetic issues.

All those seem like good ideas. I'd readd points for answers to questions. Not a fan of content syndication. Not sure most here would want that (content ownership, syndication fee questions would come to mind as reasons why not). I know there is a full on revolution brewing over realtor associations that do this with our photos and listings.

I like it the way it is ... If I had to think of some ideas...A way to filter the listing posts. I like looking at them, love seeing what is out there, some do not. I think it would be fun to have a blog of the month voted on by AR members and a badge to go along with it to post on your website.

I would hope that the powers that be continue doing what they've been doing all along. They improve in ways I couldn't have imagined. This is a great site run by the best if their field.

Make sure all new members are aware of HOW to blog and how to reciprocate. Many start out with a bang, then stop and do not know what value AR has.

I would do something unheard of that would bind us all together as a force never before seen...Offer stock for so many points earned + other condtions

Such direction is that for which CONSULTANTS are PAID.
As the Executive Direcor of ActiveRain, I would provide the sevices eluded to in the 'PAUSE' segments of my 'Small Business Trend' blog.
This is the CREATION of value that can be leveraged by members in regards to those who hire or are considering hiring them.

I would improve the current platform before trying to add features.
The current points system encourages unproductive activities.

Improve referrals between agent to agent . More analytics about consumers reading which blogs and following which members

Good morning John. All excellent ideas. Even some of the answers have some valid points.

Congratulations!
I have a lot of ideas, but one that we discussed with another member: to see how our individual blog posts are found, where the visitors come from?

Good morning John. I like playing in this sandbox, as new stuff shows up, I'm sure I will add it.
You have made some very good suggestions.

im guessing i will stay away from point system questions , as my most recent question is getting me some heat.:)
1) members who havent done shinolla in a long time (inactive) not remain on top in their area (and i said no point comments)

I think the webinars are a great idea. I kind of like things the way they are otherwise.

Search function.. It's hard to find information and some links are old.

I would have to decline the position. I am too new. I am just enjoying learning and I am pleased with all the training I have found that I am going to implement now that I am back home from Arizona.

I know there is a master plan that is in the works and it takes time and money. I am patient but do get a little put out when the systems don't work. I like the tweeting the posts by staff that has been going on.

I’m confident that Ben and Bob are working diligently on good stuff. While the blog editor is better than the past, I agree with Kathy Streib that a better blog editor and the opportunity to use more HTML5 or even CSS would be great.

AR musy have more Home/House related LOCALISM than any other site .
Can it be indexed in such a way that consumers who are thinking of geographically relocating find out about this ?

I would have to leave. Any group that would appoint me to anything has to be insane.

Allow home buyers and seller involved. It was this way before Trulia closed its gates.
