In this business the toughest thing that we have to deal with is BS. Homeowners get the BS when people come list their home. I get BS when it comes to dealing in the deals and the industry gets BS from all the gimmicks. The one thing that stands out is when there is NO BS. Once our industry gets past the BS, we might actually stop being called used car salesmen.... :) I like to stir the pot a little.

My husband often talks about my interior magnet: it attracts hobos and millionaires alike! The most interesting of people tell me the most amazing things about their lives. To get all hippie chick on you, perhaps it is an aura or vibration that one gives?

Being genuine sets you apart. When you're genuine, people can feel that. That feeling is stronger than the smell of desperation! And people can smell desperation for miles!! I say impress yourself first, and you'll impress the rest.

I give other no reason not to trust me. Generally when there is trust ... respect will come with it. I tell people what they need to hear not what they want to hear. I am with John Cooper - no BS.

William Piotrowski I agree, trust is a big factor in developing an agent/client relationship.

Good question. I can't answer it though. All I can do is be myself. I know that some will trust me, while others don't. I really don't know how to make someone trust me.

I don't know what it is about me, but people always tell me their life story in sometimes gory detail. So probably. And I have no clue why, because what they tell me is instantly forgotten. LOL

William,
There are two things I’m able to communicate through words and actions right off the bat:
# 1 That I absolutely have their best interest at heart and will work very hard to get them what they deserve.
# 2 That I’m competent in ways they never thought of.

Look professional, look them in the eye, a good firm handshake, and people know when you are speaking the truth.

Good morning William. It is most likely a two way street, if one gives no reason not to be trusted, it usually will reflect to the other person.

Attention to details, my experience to handle even most difficult issues, my presentation( from my look to my online tools), and of course, my skills to listen and market.

I think people can see that you care about them and it is not just about making a sale.

I have been at this for a very long time and trust and respect are seldom hard to gain or keep.
When you care about people and know what you are doing it does show somehow.

I am what I am and know I am not for every customer because I come across as business minded and focused and some customers want the fun loving, cut ups to work with. Different strokes for different folks.
