It was a legal field. I was a lawyer back in another life.

I spent almost 20 years in executive management in corporate finance with Fortune 500 companies as a start-up/turn-around specialist for corporate financial functions (treasury, insurance, taxes, pensions, cash management, etc.)

Hospitality at corporate level.

i was a social worker.  it was the hardest job in the world to watch people in need that often times i was unable to help.

Owned and operated a retail market selling groceries, alcohol, with a pizzeria and full service deli.  I learned how important serving the public was and how much I love doing it.

This covers 37 years of my working life. Until 2013, I'd always worked two jobs or entrepreneurial ventures, so many of these crossed over each other. I still property manage my rentals, but aside from that, this is the first time in my life I've only worked one career.

15 years in corporate IT.  First five as a Desktop Support Tech (fixing computers when the helpdesk couldn't do it over the phone).  The last ten as an Information Security professional (anti-hacking, system hardening, industry and government compliance reviews, ethical hacking, finding loopholes in systems and wording, writing policies and procedures, education, executive meetings,...).

I was in Retail Management for a number of years, a stay-at-home mom, worked in a Human Resources office as a generalist, and was a licensed Title Insurance prior to getting my Real Estate license.

21 years in automotive sales, midnight DJ and Dad and I owned an insulation company too.

The first four or five years of my working life (which started during high school) were spent in various jobs including working as: a cashier at a department store; a clerk at a shipping company; an office assistant at Ethan Allen in the sales department; a receptionist, and then a few temporary jobs including a week with Willie Nelson and Miles Davis' manager. 

Then I spent the next 30 years in the telecommunications field - starting as a clerk and working my way up to director. 

Student, studying Computer information systems with a job at Wang on the way. In the second year of college, the professor says forget what you learned last year, there are new computer languages replacing the former way we programmed. I already had my license at 18. Thinking i wasted a whole year of classes would complete open houses in the family business on weekends, i sold 4 homes that Saturday and decided Real Estate was for me and computers were not

Jeff - I started out in corporate finance, then got into lending, which led me into real estate. On the side, I have always been involved in the sports and recreation industry, and still am to this day.

For 18 years (prior to real estate) I owned a Business Support company and worked right out of my home -- I was part of the Cottage Industry.  In some ways I miss those days -- had hundreds of clients and each one brought with it diversified type of work.  But today, many of those skills have benefited me in Real Estate and I believe is what allowed me to rise from the bottom to the top within the first two years of real estate.

That is a long list. The short version is worked at Disneyland, DJ and broadcast engineer, bank president, sold airplanes, Fortune 100 IT project manager. Most of all of that was fun.

I taught for two years.... the first year is was Biology, Chemistry, Geometry and General Science (that was a lot of different preparations everyday!!)

the second year was Health and Physical Education... I created the first Drug Education program at Franklin High School in 1971...

Loved teaching but the pay sucked and there were "too many vacations".... I felt like I was on vacation one week every month!!!!
