The best way is referrals. One good way to get referrals is to get to know some new construction agents who might refer you some listing referrals. Those clients may refer their friends to use you on both sides.

Share the road to your new home.

Make it a point to build relationships with as many people as you can everyday. Let them know your goals to help (your goals for production) in 2016. Ask them how you can help them build their business and your referral base will grow. Like anything worth anything takes time to establish momentum. 

What you choose, do it for 66 days to create a habit. Build your foundation and system so as you business grows you can keep up with the pace.

I don't think there is any one best way.  The best way is the one you are enthusiastically using.  Some people crush it on cold calls.  Others make a fortune on expireds.  If you reluctant to knock on doors, it will rarely work well as a lead generation source.

I don't think there is a best way, because things are always changing. But whatever method and technology you use, communicating on a regular basis and staying visible is important.

What does you business plan identify as your prime business?

What do you have to work with?

A strong list of those who know you?

A list of those who share a common interest with you?

A huge list of unknown individuals?

Have you identified a problem for which you have a solution or a solution is needed regarding buyers or home owner?

How about the benefits of working with you?

Without some FABRIC with which to work, the default recommendation is to follow the same path the other agents follow. That is usually dialing for dollars or stuffing mailboxes. Don't expect different results.

Charles Ross - I believe working by referrals is always the best. Even today more than half of the business - not only in Real Estate, it's everywhere - is by word-of-mouth and the next level is -- asking for referrals. Try it.
