I don't like a page unless I plan on continuing support.  It hurts your organic reach if the people who have liked you aren't interacting regularly.

Yes, I support ActiveRain members by liking their Facebook Fan Pages. I also support them on other platforms when I see them or they ask (i.e. G+, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube, Slideshare, content curation/sharing sites, etc.). 

None of us know exactly what Facebook's algorithm (or Google's for that matter) looks at, nor how it processes that information, but I have always been skeptical FB would provide something then penalize their users for using in a professional and respectful way. I have not been penalized by liking Rainer FB pages...several hundred by now too.

However, FB has made it very clear they do not want to see "like-baiting"  where someone asks for you to click on their photo to help generate more likes...these are spammy and FB started removing those types of scams from news feeds in the Spring of 2014. What FB, and every other platform we use wants (including ActiveRain) is sharing of quality information and plenty of engagement.

When in doubt about FB, go directly to Facebook for information about using Facebook For Business.

I have liked many fellow members Facebook pages.

I have a lot of members as friends on my personal page and a lot of members have liked my business page. I have also liked business and personal pages of members. 

I follow a couple people's profiles on FB and LI.

I try to support the business pages of others here in the Rain.

I do more support at LinkedIn or Google+ thank FB.

Yes I do. There is a group here on AR Facebook Fridays run by Anita Clark that is very good.

I do. There are quite a few I like and have friends who live in other states that always ask for recommendations.  After seeing some of the ways they promote their propertieds and their professionalism I would refer them. 

I haven't too much I focus more on those mediums for targeted buyers sellers

I do whenever I get a free second here and there to check what my competition is up to.

I click like when I am asked.

You are better to focus on buyer and seller prospects for your Facebook page than other real estate professionals.
