I think Marco Giancola has the right answer. Both times.

Good morning Roger. You got the right answer from Marco Giancola.
Roger D. Mucci you got the right answer from Marco Giancola
I think if you right click on the notification and there's somewhere where it will give you the option to turn it off. Alternatively, you can go to Facebook and settings and turn notifications off.

looks like Marco gave you the right direction.....facebook at work???
Good morning Roger. I don't do Facebook so I cannot be of assistance.
No but hopefully you get a solution quickly.
Hey, I keep facebook open at work all day. :)
Never seen them Roger, I do use firefox which blocks out all of the fb adds.
Beat me to it, hope it worked for you Roger D. Mucci
I hate these...annoying
I do not know.
Thanks, Marco Giancola I was wondering the same thing
BARFF- I think you have to go into your settings in FB. Oops, I see that Marco Giancola answered it.
I like the answer provided by Marco Giancola.
Marco has provided the answer. Now I need to do the same. They annoy me ... very distracting.
This started happening to me not long ago and I am 99.9999% sure I did nothing to warrant it. It can be annoying!
They pop up on my phone but not on my computer. If I was 11 I could tell you how.
I suggest you not to check FB if you have another day time job. The IT tracks what you look and how much time you spend on these sites....
You can hide it but everything you looked at is on the computer and IT knows... Many younger people look at FB from their smart phone while driving...
Yep, you just have to disable the notification setting in the box. These can be annoying and especailly if you are not on your own computer.
I would suggest looking at your settings, if I remember correctly that is where those are.
