I never, ever put in print anywhere my personal views on money, sex, religion or politics.  Learned that in the home where I grew up.  No family scaubbles but we loved to play Monopoly on Sunday afternoon.

When I comment, it is not based on the promise it will be hidden.

When I post a blog 'not public' is because it is more appropriate for professionals, (I.E. Florida based portfolio lender) not because of the content.

I check for 'members' posts a lot. I love politics, and don't have a problem with strong political views. I do have a problem with personal attacks over politics or other issues. I have great clients with strong views. If someone doesn't want to work with me over my political views, that is fine. I have no party affiliation, btw. 'PND'

I try to beat around the bush but my answers probably show which way I am leaning that day!

I tend to not be too political most of the time, but if asked my opinion I share it. I do the same with clients.  I've never felt I had to be on the same page politically to serve a client well.

     Having said that...  I just closed on a transaction with a Bernie Sanders supporter.  We enjoyed each other's conversation and company, and will remain friends.   I am also working with a self-described "agnostic".  It is a pleasant working relationship for both of us.

     We can have differences of opinion and believe differently, without getting hostile or in-your-face about it.

When I was an active agent, I was much more cautious about making my political views known.  Not so much now.  

Sometimes.  If someone in the public is offended by my opinions, it probably isn't a good fit anyway. Life is waaay to short to work with disagreeable people.

Glad you brought this up, Greg. I had assumed the Q and A section was members only. I don't discuss politics on line. I would think in this forum it politics should only be brought up when it relates to the real estate industry.
