Check my blog for today, Sunday, February 28th for information on "Heifer International", www.Heifer.org to find out more about this organization that provides livestock and poultry animals to impoverished areas of the world along with education in how to turn them into long term food sources.   These donations can be made in honor or memory of someone or something and are relatively inexpensive for the value delivered to the recipient.

Animal charities are near and dear to me. I'm love working with Habitat for Humanity and I'm on the local habitat board. 

my very favorite is the Salvation Army. Their CEO makes a reasonable salary and I think they do great things.

Heather Sittig Jackson - I always contribute to KW Cares - and local Indian temples.

Malibu Search and Rescue (MalibuSAR.org).  Non-profit 501(c)3, works through the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department, all volunteer, rescues lost hikers, provides medical treatment for injured hikers and vehicles that go over the side of our cliffs (with Fire), fire evacuations, escaped prisoner searches, criminal searches... and that's just the tip of the iceberg!

I founded a nonprofit umbrella foundation 20 years ago that funds grass roots project aroung the world. That's my primary charity but I lso donate time and money to several others including Oxfam, Kiva and Heifer.

My franchise has two charities.  I tend to donate locally-the food bank and Habitat for Humanity.

I give to MD Anderson cancer center in Houston. They have a Moon Shot program for selected cancer cures.
