I get all my gossip from the magazines every three weeks when I get a manicure. I love keeping up with it, but I'm a very busy agent nonetheless.

I've never watched the oscars, the tonys, the accademy awards.... none of them. I do watch serveral different series, but generally after they have been dvr'd and I have the ability to FF through commercials

As with everything it may or may not be true.  We were in commercial real estate in Los Angeles.  One of our niches was the entertainment industry and we worked with the music industry and the film industry, and negotiated offices for stars and producers.  This was homework for us, as were the Grammy's.  Real estate is local, and each locality has its peculiarities.  I know many agents who make an income in the high 6 and 7 figures that were watching this evening and enjoying themselves.  They have a great career as well as a great life.  One of them has a brother who is part of the movie making industry.  A

I find it has more to do with age than  business.

I don't care much about the Oscar's.  There are people in my life I am interested in hearing about or spending time with instead of a bunch of people I don't know.  I wish them the best, but don't feel the need to watch the show.

I don't have time to worry about any correlation; too busy!

Most of the movies I wanted to win were not even nominated so I did not watch except for a couple of minutes.

I did see while showing a new buyer our town our gorgeous new theater The Lot in La Jolla was having a wonderful private party   Was wishing had time to notice before and energy to attend.  

I don't think my being busy has much to do with it.  I never cared before I was in real estate.  

LOL...I was not sure where you were going with that and have no idea if it is true in most cases, but I don't care about the Oscars or the movies or the celebrities, for that matter, and I'm having a great year.  

I realized recently that I do not even know who most of these people are. LOL. And from the snippets on the covers of magazines, I do not care to, either. 

I'm definitely to busy to watch the Oscars Robert May . Heck if I was in a hospital bed recovering from a heart attack I'd be to busy to watch the Oscars.

I'm negotiating an offer and repairs on a home I sold, scheduling a showing for tomorrow and starting my income taxes..no Oscar interest!

I do not see any correlation between success and tv watching as I do for success and playing gold.

I read the winners and comments on best movies the day after. If I think we'll like them I add them to our rental list. No time for watching TV in my house most nights.

For me, being busy as an Agent during the day, has no correlation as to what I do evenings, during 'Me Time'!  Whether I'm swimming laps, reading a book, or watching TV, does not impact what I do during my Open Houses and during my daily work schedule Robert May. 

No, I just don't buy into all the glitz and glamour.

Sometimes it just means you like movies and it's a "neutral" topic that works with many customers for small talk.

That could be, i have little time to watch tv and even less to go to a movie as i am always working. It has been many years since i stepped into a movie theater... I could care less about over paid actors giving political speeches lecturing me on climate change when they have mega mansions, Private jets and yachts

I did enjoy watching the Oscars, and have seen none of the movies and have been very busy.    I watch little TV, but a nice diversion from working all the time.

People that are overly indulged in their job don't have time for things they consider frivolous such as sports, TV shows, movies or awards shows.  That doesn't make them better agents though.

No.  If I had no business I still wouldn't care about the oscars, which celebrity is shacked-up with who this week or any of that stuff.  There are more important things in the world, like what geeky thing my celebrity crush "Tac Tissy" is going to post next (https://www.facebook.com/tactissy/).

I think each situation is different.  I binge watch shows and get obsessed with them, but only after my work is done.  Amanda and I also enjoy a couple of movies a month maybe.  

We're successful and sell a good amount but also like to be entertained.  I think taking downtime is healthy. 

If and when I can keep my eyes opened long enough to see most of those tv shows, I do enjoy them...it takes my mind off the stress of business....
