I'm beyond the participation ribbons.  My self esteem is healthy and I am happy to reward myself after a job well done.  My mind chatter is always positive so anything external is a bonus!

A smile, a handshake, a kind word, a commission check; I am appreciated in so many ways at the office but if not, if I have a bad day; my husband always makes it better when I get home to one of his big bear hugs.

Absolutely! And the universe levels itself out for the few clients we may not feel appreciated by. We have others that go out of there way to say thank you and show gratitude . My reward and thank you is the check at the closing table, the wonderful reviews they write and the referrals they send my way. About 98% of my business is referrals so I feel very well thanked 😊

From some clients, yes. Other clients, not so much.

Yes, Most of the time my clients appreciate me for my  hard work.  

Yes I do, just got a box of cookies and a 3 months of wine sent from one of my clients. Excellent customer service always brings rewards.

I have learned to self-appreciate.   There are clients that get what we do for them, but there are also moments when you are the closest person in a stressful situation and they take it out on  you.  You have to have a healthy self-esteem to be a successful business person in any field. 

Generally I would say yes I do! But my own thoughts about what I have done may be even more important

I don't think about others appreciating my accomplishment.  When I see my businesses succeeding and doing better every year, I know I am doing good.  No one needs to tell me.

I am compensated like I should be, and seeing happy clients at the end of a transaction is enough "thanks" for me. Repeat clients and referrals ate even better!

As long as there are no compliants my job is justified.

Saying no makes me feel unappreciative. Sometimes seller/buyers have no idea. Or ... like in your case, they might know appreciate your broad range of knowledge to do a thorough inspection.

Sometimes it's our own fault.

I found my dog taking a nap in my office on a letter of recommendation that a seller sent me. That makes it OK when I think back. Don't like the fact that it's got paw prints on it now.

In Real Estate most do not even know the challenges behind the scenes that got their sale or purchase to even close, that is ok, if they didnt notice, i did a good job
