If I were going to do this I would tie it in with today's hottest topic staging. Can you call your stager and see how much she'd charge you for a free staging consultation? Staging opens up the doors to a different type of conversation which eventually gets to the question "have you had any thoughts of selling?"

I see too many people at these types of events wasting too much valuable time an resources on "Non Prospects".
Make your graphics geared toward homeowners or people who want to be homeowners.
And your give aways should be geared toward these people as well. A drawing for a free CMA or appraisal may be a good idea.

Whoa, whoa, whoa ! You've answered your own question Pat Owens .
As I read your question, it's right there. Stumped ?
"Any ideas to make this a FRUIT . . . . ful event" ? You're going to be at a "FESTIVAL" , right ? I do a lot of chamber events and especially in the spring and fall, one of the easiest, cost effective and eye catching things to have as a door prize is a big ol' FRUIT basket.
It is very colorful, healthy and can be shared with others by the winner. And the BIGGER, the BETTER ! It's very easy to create, use some colored tissue paper to dress it up and put some curly ribbons in it. All of that in a reuseable pot or basket and it will be the talk of the event.
Let your JUICES flow and Be Creative at a very reasonable cost !
Good Luck and Happy Festivaling !

Gift card for a local, popular restaurant.
I would have suggested some of the same things others have. Best of luck!
parked and reading
Hello Pat, I would say, buy a house with me and get a house warming pary for 40 people. Who doesn't like a party.
Evelyn Johnston has some good ideas.
Everybody has drawings. You need something better to attract attention.
Home staging would make a great prize.
how about offering baskets of fruit!
A basket of delicious fruit.
Do you do an e-newsletter about market conditions? I do and offer to email it to people and have always had a lot of sign ups when I do events.
Pat Owens - keep some toy cars, cookies to attract families with kids.
If allowed, have some kind of presentation going on in the back on TV screen.
Wheel of fortune - with some prize attached with each.
Gift certificates from your lender partner.
Ideas are infinite - just make sure you capture their name, number and email address.
A certificate for one time cleaning service. - You can get a discount with a local cleaning company -
I'm with Joy Bender ..something of value for a future seller..who doesn't want a professional stager to look at their home for improvements!
Make sure you get in touch with every person who stopped by your booth. Each one is a Lead! Make the most of those leads and make sure your "Give Away" is something that is desirable to the people who would also be interested in your service.
The more personal contact the better.
It is the time of the year for dressing up the outside of homes and landscapes so I would offer either a landscape refresh (mowing, trimming, edging) or for the interior a home staging consultation.
Make your drawing something fun and conversational
Wine gift basket sounds great. I would add some great crackers and cheese, Wishing you a very successful event. A
I think a gift basket, or two, is a great idea. Or how about a Kindle FIRE, depending on budget
fruit basket, easter chicks, coffee cards, I will throw a few 10% off Lowes coupons. I think your easter chicks will get most bang for the buck...
When I participate in such events, I offer the audience something of value. One Mayor from Wisconsin recorded my presentation to take back to the occupants of the land of the frozen chosen.
For example, when at the Earth Day festival, my presentation is about the benefits of Walkable Homes. Those benefits include: safety net, paying for college education, supercharging retirement account, ect....and having a resource where they can find where such homes exist in your area. Sign up here.
If allowed to overtly market real estate services, offer empowerment through your products.
This year I will be exploiting Everyone has interest in real estate by allowing access to my book. Who doesn't want to 'BREAK THE FAILURE SYSTEM'?
And when all is lost, go with a bulletin board or chalk board and have folks record their Six Word Story. This will give you names, numbers and quotes for the remainder of the year.
Of course giving away money is what many choose to do. It is easier.
Depending on your budget, an Apple Watch would be nice. That would make me come by.
Have more than one drawing...keep it silly & fun too. Laugh and repeat oh, and give out free lollipops..all flavors
Have one of your lenders attend also. The wine is a great idea. Over 55 or under 55, who doesn't like wine. Make it a happy event, not just all business.
Just be careful if you having a drawing to keep it within RESPA boundaries. I think it may be a violation to have a drawing for referrals.
Is there a theme of the festival? Maybe make the giveawy within the theme? I like Joy's suggestion. Maybe give away water wrapped with your information.
