Ice cream but I cheat everyday

I lost nearly 130 last year and cheated a tiny bit every day. Every sugar/carb had to be "worthy" so anything that I ate that was bad for me had to have a high trade off or did not get eaten.
Substitute a large candy bar for one tiny extremely decadent chocolate and savor the flavor.
Substitute a bag of cookies for a bag of nuts.

I don't have cheat days. My diet has built-in days where "anything goes" and you're actually encouraged to eat all the starchy sugary crud you want! I have ice cream, popcorn and chocolate setup. Probably start with a big bowl of pasta or something like that.

What's a diet?
I just try to have balance . . . with varying degrees of success.
My cheat food is a cheat day if I'm trying to lose a couple pounds or eat better. All bets are off that day- ice cream, cookies, chocolate, pizza, nachos... all my favorite crap food!

I never was on diet in my life. Yet, I do not eat meat, fat, deep fried, cakes, or any junk/processed meal ( I simply do not like such food)
Whatever I am craving at the time...sweet, salty, crunchy, etc. This week has been popcorn and chocolate but pizza, pasta and nuts are also good.

Haven't dieted in years but occasionally I fall away from my healthy diet like vacation week. This morning I had lettuce salad with a few sprinkles of olive oil.
I eat differently in different areas I do real estate. In Northern California? More meat dishes and BBQs; "cheat" food? Occasional beer. In Carmel-by-the-Sea? Vegetarian dishes; "cheat" food? Wine. In Hawaii? Lots of salads and seafood; "cheat" food? Mai Tai. I stay away from pastas and breads. Guess where I lose a few pounds normally? Hawaii but that's probably because I walk and swim there a lot.
Pizza, no wait, ice cream, but it might be a burrito. No, definitely pizza, or maybe ice cream...

Never diet, but every once in awhile, old fashioned fried chicken that is made with lard is an big temptation.
