Yes indeed. Starting in real estate feels like running up a sand dune with 50 pound boots. But if you keep going, eventually you will reach the top.

Best time to get into the real estate dog and pony is when the market is a steep incline. You take nothing for granted. you don't get spoiled with "that was easy". Saddle up.

There is a lot that must be done, a lot to learn, misunderstanding to overcome.

A good mentor will prove helpful. Otherwise a person starting out in real estate may find themselves attempting to catch smoke with a net.

That's a great analogy Kevin.   There are going to be times when it seems the ground is moving against you and you are falling backwards but keep on trudging forward because when you've been at it a while, it will become easier to conquer.   Consistency and persistency are the keys to success.   Hang in there and best of luck to you.

Keep your head up, find what works for you as far as lead generating (some things don't work for others) stick to it, and use resources you already have. Talk to your neighbors, preview properties in your neighborhood. Share knowledge and experience, not just your business card, Stand out! And don't pressure anyone into working with you. If you lay your foundation out right, you will have people coming to you. You can do this!

It can though I love sand dunes, just not running up them - HA!  Seriously, it is not an easy career field, even if you like people and enjoy Marketing homes.  Hang in there, and know that working hard will pay off, and be patient, because it might not happen right away.  Having a good mentor and someone that you can talk to, helps - Best of Luck Kevin Morris
