For the most part I quit posting to groups. Most are inactive and the only person reading your post is the admin if still active member.
I keep telling myself to delete the group I started years ago because even I rarely post to the gorup much less read the few posts posted in my group.

There are a some groups that are well managed/moderated but overall the system seems disorganized to me.

Joe, My sense is that groups are becoming less active and less useful. There have been many discussions about groups in the recent past.

Groups are a source of frustration for me, Joe. I haven't had the time or patience to figure out which are still viable. This has been discussed, with no solution in sight that I know of.
That said, if you want to start a group... go for it and send out invitations.

Thanks everybody, I think groups are important still, but what I am finding is most active groups are unregulated so the idea of idea sharing is diluted and the momentum is lost. Groups to a great extent can be a mastermind where we can stretch ourselves and get fresh on something. I think AR should reowrk what a group is for and eliminate those that are inactive which I agree is most of them.

I have backed off on the groups, and think they have lost their luster.

Good morning Joe. When I first joined AR, a little less than 5 years ago, I joined a bunch of groups, but never really played in them. I don't even remember which ones they were.

I like this little group, but I may be the only one who does...

I haven't had the time to really delve into the groups. I've posted to a few of them, but that's about it.

I have been gradually reducing the groups that I am in, and trying to stay focused on the ones that really pertain to me.

Joe Pryor I think groups get hot and heavy when they are first established. After a while, they kind of fizzle out.

I think that many of the posts are no longer active. I haven't had the time to research any of them, but some where fun and educational!

Groups have a collective mindset. The value is subjective. Suit thyself Joe
