I was 19 and traveling. I called home and my dad hadn't heard from me in a while. He asked where I was. I told him I was in jail. There was a long pause on the end of the end of the line and then he responded with a heavy voice...what do you need? I laughed and told him it was all ok. 

I'm not a fan.  The first year I was with my husband and living overseas, I was missing my family terribly.  The post man had come and gone and my husband excitedly shouts to me "Come quick, you've got 2 letters".  

I flew down the stairs to find him standing in the kitchen holding a piece of paper in each hand on which he had drawn the letter "A" and the letter "B".   Here's your two letters he said. 

I was so disappointed I burst into tears and was inconsolable!

My favorite was when I drak all Roger D. Mucci Vodka and replaced it with mineral water and watched him have virgin Martini's last 4/1/

I have been in so much trouble with family and friends for masterfully pulling off April Fool's jokes ... I no longer do them.  

I have been known to call off work just before I walk in the door.

Had an Agent call looking for a potential buyer named: (Myra Mains), on 4 / 1 many years ago. The phone number was to the local funeral home.....

I grew up with a dad that non stop pranked all of us kids growing up.  We could never relax and I hated it.  I'm not much of a prankster.  I'M BOOOORING!!!  

I wrote a blog post about real estate agents being many times more subject to an IRS audit than any other profession. I think I said one in four. I know it was mean but it was April Fools Day.

The ones I enjoy are usually public jokes like fake headlines and news reports.

I hate them, personally, but when I was a kid (many, many decades ago), we had a neighbor who was a prankster, and April Fool's Day brought out his worst (or was it his best?). 

One year he replaced salt in the sugar cannister, and his wife baked a cake for dinner.

Another year he put marbles in the hubcaps of his friend's brand new Jaguar XKE. The friend was also a neighbor, and you could hear them yelling for blocks when he found out.

I can't remember back that far 

I am not now or have ever been a fan...

I am not good at these. My kids, when they were young, used to put a rubber band around the sprayer at the sink. You know what happened as soon as you turned on the water. They got us a couple years in a row!

ThinkGeek.com has had some great products over the years.  Unicorn meat was a classic.  Youtube and Google pulled some funny ones over the years too.  Youtube had some alternate viewing mode that was a throwback to the 256-bit colour days.

I don't have any favorite jokes, but I have a cousin who got married on April 1st.  I always thought that was odd.   No joke there.  It lasted til death did part.
