I don't have a relationship with her. My wife would get jealous.

I think it is very important, especially if there is mutual trust and respect.

I am the principal broker and I want a great relationship with my agents. The better I train them the more money we all make.

I have to know that my broker cares and available if I need her/him. Any relationships should be based on respect and trust.

Only as important as the details spelled out in the agreement.
The sooner you understand you are on your own, the quicker you will stop looking for help and start doing what your business plan said you would do.
Kelly, I don't have a super caps, double bold option...but understand quickly YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!
Failure to grasp that means you are in a race between getting clue and running out of money.

It is a working relationship and I work within the rules of the company and the broker benefits by that. It is a trust relatinship and if you don't have that you need to find a company that gives you that.

VERY... in whatever way best serves your needs. Veteran agents need less support from a broker than a less experience agent. Regardless of the level of expertise, it is important to have a good line of communication. For new agents, it is critical to have a broker who has the resources to train and mentor you.

I think it is invaluable. If you dont have a good working relationship with your principal broker, how can he or she support you? I have had great ones and others that were terrible. The ones that were terrible were the fundamental reason I left those brokerages.
