It would probably be about $2.5million up.
Luxury homes in Greenbrier County starts at $500K. Listing prices vary with the acreage and believe the highest is oer $6 million.
60194 = $600,000 It's not luxury.
I have a couple markets where that number is in the 2-3 million up to 30+ million
$700k or better in most my market. 31024, 31061 or my primary zip codes and I work only the niche of lakefront properties in those markets
Eric Kodner a few market, this number is above $1,000,000!
Top 10% does not necessarily mean luxury. A property may be in the top 10% due to location (e.g. to the subway, to downtown or it might simply be a bigger lot that has a teardown property where a big new home can be built.

Over $5 M - I am in the same market as Sam Shueh
We are 500,000 and up in Lake Norman
$5 mil and up.....SF Bay Area
The numbers are all over. In Carlsbad right now it's $1.995M. Rancho Santa Fe is $7.95M, La Jolla is $6.9M, a lower priced community, Escondido, is $1.25M
10% of price? average, norm, medium? in our area over 2mil is certainly luxury. we have a few sales over 4 mil, but not many. we consider in the area 2+ as a benchmark.
Luxury in Denver would be defined at over $1.5 million.
The luxury range is in the eyes of the purchaser. The top 10% is beyond the imagination for most.

One milllion up in 34202 and creeping!
Locally, we define it as a home that is at least twice the price of the average home in that zip code. We have so many price ranges and so many areas, it's hard to put a definitive number to it. But anything over $750,000 would usually be considered luxury as that is about 3X the price of an average home in our MLS.

It is very blurry now, since all Los Angeles prices are quite high. But of course expect to pay premium price for anything in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Sunset, Westwood, Bel Air, Malibu and many other Los Angeles cities.
Market value is where mos are selling right now
None of them in my neighborhood, but if I find someone who is looking for a Luzury vacation home, I know to send them to you Eric.
In Naples, Florida we have listings up to $59 million, and the majority of our homes would be in the luxury market anywhere else.
Eric, For our market area, our brokerage defines luxury as $500k and up (zip codes 45040, 45036, 45066 and more). Now of course there are homes that are above that that are a far cry from luxury (perhaps they have 20 acres and a horse barn to justify the price). Most of our market has a median price in the $200-$250k range, so doubling that to $500k is a pretty good indicator of upscale. Bill
For my market, anything over $750K is in the top 10%.
