I might have been "hesitant" in the past about something like jumping in the deep end of the pool. But "fear"? Like meeting a bear in the forest? Yep, prudent to get out of there. "Fear of failure" or "fear of looking stupid"? Nope. That's how you learn to plow forward.

You have to look beyond the fear to the result you are trying to accomplish.  You must have a greater goal than what the fear can block you from accomplishing.   

A well-defined plan can identify obstacles and diffuse much of the fear associated with just about anything.

I try to not have fear, it happens for a reason.

Not focusing on it. I just always push forward and do not bother to be slowed down by fear. My fear is probably a good thing, since it motivates me.

Only one way, Face It.

Run toward anything that has to do with it. Expose it to the light of reality. Learn that it is not what it appears to be but just how we process it. A person who fears, fears everything. A person with no fear...is free

Some fears you can grow out of, especially if you have the fear as a child.  Once you get older, you can research that fear, and realize that others have the same fear (and see the technical name for it), and that then you weigh the odds of 'it happening to you' or not.  What caused the fear is deeper, because as a child you really may not know it's origin, and as an adult you could maybe 'guess' at it's origin, but you may never be positive Desmond Neoh.  I think adult fears can arise from insecurity, lack of knowledge, and fear of failure . . .  gee, I've had them all (HA!)!!   

By DOING.  If you don't face your fear, it rules you.

Mostly fear is in the head and can be eliminated by redirecting your thoughts.

I don't ever face fear and give it time to fester and win; meaning I don't stew on why I'm afraid and how I can fix it. Contemplating what you're going to do about it creates ugly blisters on your soul. I either attack it quickly and make it go away or I run the other way. 

Sometimes just admitting that you have fears allows you to find ways to overcome them .

I have learned to live with it and carry on.
