I'm asked to take surveys multiple times a day. If you want me to take time to take your survey, I will do it for $200 an hour.

There are two distinct ways to answer your call to action. One, is to accept and the other, is to reject. You have your answer if you choose to see it

Praveen, Totally appreciate what you're trying to do, but a) most agents aren't going to assume a link is safe just because Google is in the link. Things get spoofed all the time (even dropbox and Google docs) so most of us are pretty cautious. b) for the most part we're pretty busy, and unless there's a direct "What's in it for me" payoff, we move on. c) we get about a bazillion emails from people every day wanting to somehow make money off of us, so we basically stop listening. When we want something, we go looking for it rather than saying okay to what's sent to us.

I'm not particularly fond of doing surveys... they always take longer than they say they will; they often ask unanswerable questions. And it's impossible to click through your links and I'm not taking the time to copy and paste and go to a browser.

I have no interest in taking a survey about Zillow. And just because "Google" is in the URL is not a guarantee it's safe to click.

Nowadays to click on anything from a source you don't know personally - and even then - is risky business. I like Annette's suggestion.

If it has merit for us, why not go through the Activerain people and get their blessing? We are always responsive to AR requests.

You need a survey on how much big Z SUCKS?!?!
Wouldn't waste my time! Good luck with your website, you're going to need it, there are several powerful real estate aggregators out there!

Put your survey on Survey Monkey and post it as a blog on AR.
Then point to the blog with a question on the AR Q&A.
I would be happy to complete the survey, but not under the conditions that exist.
Let me be first to raise my hand to indicate my ambivalence regarding Z-devil.
PS don't put URL or links in the title.

It seemed rather like a request for information and for listings. Plus, your services sound just a little "too good to be true" and you know what that usually means.

Unfortunately you are marketing to a group that has been used and abused by so many before you that they are afraid to get involved in another company that may be hounding them with advertisements and phone calls, too many people already after their paychecks and they are not willing to get involved with another.
Even though you many not be one of those companies, the suspicion is there.

I don't take many surveys and never from people or organizations I don't know or care about. The 2 minute survey ends up being a 15 minute waste of time in my busy day.

First of all, I would NEVER suggest anyone open a document from an unknown/untrusted source. Put your survey into Survey Monkey (or a similar service). Your statement that it is safe to click because it is a google doc is extremely false. I won't even look at the link, let alone consider opening it.
I don't mind doing surveys, but if it's going to be for a business to make money from I expect some form of compensation or the chance for it (random drawing).

No, I will never take a survey to benefit competition to make them better. If a company cannot figure things out based on negative online comments, then a survey won't do you much good either.
3,416,038
I do not click on anything i do not know is safe. As far as Trulia and Zillow. The original Trulia had a value and respected agents, they changed their marketing plan to charge for everything and could give a care about the agents. They paid for it and were bought out. With Zillow the shear idea that you take our listings for free and then want to sell back the leads to our own listings is crazy. They want to take over the industry instead of work hand and hand with us.

Praveen Mudwani - herding cats can be easier....
Unless there are some irrestible offers, it's difficult to get the survey questions answered, most of the time.
