I'm using Windows 10 with Office 2010 -- upgraded a couple of years ago from 2007. But I haven't thought about going to Office 2016 and probably won't until I have no excuse.

I would keep it. There isn't much difference in the upgrade I think.

Roy Kelley I'm using Microsoft Office 2010 with Windows 10. I don't see a need to upgrade to Office 2016.

In the past, when I've upgraded Office, I've found that there are bugs that haven't been worked out yet. So my advice would be not to rush to update, unless there's a feature in 2016 that you've just gotta have.

I usually don't upgrade if everything is working okay.

I still use an older version of Office too, I believe it's 2010. The only program I update every 2 years is Quickbooks. There's an extra step in opening newer docs from newer Office versions, but it all works for me so far.

I have Office 2016 and do not know the true answer; have found Google offers for free very similar products and have been using them with no problem.

Stay with your current version until you have problems with it.

Good morning Roy. We have Windows 10 on our laptops, the are both less than 6 months old. Our old ones had Windows 7, which was easy to use and would have changed if we didn't buy new computers.

When I bought the new laptop with Win 10 preinstalled, I was running Office 2010 which was fine for me but did the free trial of Office 365. I liked the fact that it can be accessed from a PC, tablet or phone plus some features so went with the $99.99/year subscription for 5 users.
Here's a link from Microsoft to a comparison of plans and features.

If you like '07 and it fits your needs, stay with it. If you're not sure, you can do the free trial of Office 365 and decide for yourself.

Roy Kelley - well, every new version comes with some extra features - and some bugs, too.

If Office is still working for you then i wouldn't change. If you are having problems with it intergrating then a change may be in order.

We still have Office 2007 and Office 2013 on Windows 10 pro, 7 pro, and xp pro. Not really different unless your a hard core user on things like Excel or Access. For us, it's mainly light Word or Publisher use with some basic Excel spreadsheets. I've used Office 365 too, which is pretty nice. Not really a Google Docs lover. Not sure I like how Google makes money by going through your data to sell it off to "trusted third parties" for advertisng. Yes, I read their 'terms of use' in its entirety. Seems a little dangerous when dealing with our customer personal information.

I'm with Jennifer Mackay on this answer, but you know at some point those greedy bastards at MS will stop supporting Office 2007 by making it no longer compatable with your OS

x2 for "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
If you do want to upgrade, though, you might also want to weigh some of the pros/cons of moving to Office 365 vs. Office 2016.

Hi Roy,
Couple initial questions for you.
1) How large is your staff?
2) How has the adoption of Windows 10 been going for you far?
The reason for the first question, is that with Office 365, as it is called, with one purchase, it allows you to install the Office product on upto 5 computers.
It also provides for 1TB of online cloud storage, which if used right, can be a great tool to share documents online, and provide access to them from any smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer.
The reason for the second question, is that if your staff has had no issues changing to Windows 10, then the new interface that comes with Office 365 would be of no issue.
Feel free to aask any follow up questions.
Sincerely,
Denise

I think the biggest thing is the bility to open something written in the new format. I know some forms i have sent to clients, they coudl not open as they had teh older version without any updates.
