Sorry to disappoint Mike Rock However, if I have a client unaware of the Internet being a 24/7 open house for them, insisting I do one, I get an agent in my office to do them, since I still won't personally: rare. I have them do them 11-12 for the neighbors (special invite only) and 1-4 for the public.

Sundays from noon to 2:00pm...any earlier is too early....any later has not worked well in the past for us... noon to 2 is best...and definitely Sunday over a Saturday...Sat. is an errand day...

many will say they dont work (opens) i know they do. However the date , time and if you promote prior are important...i like thur / fri 4 -7 pm

Sunday 2-4 because that is the default standard in our area.
It depends but usually weekend afternoons. In our area weekday brokers preview(caravan/tours) are also held and I use those events as additional exposure(mid-morning to early afternoon).
Open houses are a part of the marketing strategy I discuss with prospective sellers.
Never is my prefered time & day.
Sunday afternoons are the most popular open house times in our area.
I seldom if ever do OH's, but wben I am requested by the seller I'll hsve one on the weeked 1-4.

Very rare occassion and only when homeowner insists, but 12:30 to 2:00. Seems they are getting rarer and shorter...

When we have an Open House we usually like to do Sunday afternoon from 1-3.
Sunday from 1 to 4 pm, After Church and after lunch.
On teh 2nd saturday of the week.
When I do an open house (and I don't do them that often), I prefer Sunday 1:00-3:00... there seem to be the most people out there, in our area between noon and three o'clock.
Unless, of course, there's a Bear/Cubs/Bulls game on. Then I re-schedule.
From 1-4. That's when the folks are expecting them.
Sundays from 1 to 4. It's sort of the norm for my market - although some agents are doing evening opens during the week.
Sunday 1-4 is the "industry standard practice" out here. Tried Saturday ones before and I'm pretty sure no one looked for them on Saturday because it wasn't well atteneded at all, compared to a sunday one.
I rarely do them anymore, but still prefer the traditional 1 to 4 pm on Sunday and works better with our marketing department who has a big spread in the paper with all the 1 - 4 pm Open Houses.
I don't hold open houses, but if I did it would be from 2-4pm on Sundays. Here in Charlotte people go to church in the morning, then to brunch and then maybe to the grocery store, so they don't pay much attention until after 1pm.
Saturday and Sunday Afternoons.
I just follow the flow: Fridays are brokers open houses and Sunday 2-5 are public.
I've neen pretty traditional and stuck to Saturdays and Sundays, 1 - 4 or 2 - 5 when I do them. I have some new listings where I am planning something during the week

Weekends are good for OPEN HOUSES; and I usually host them from: 2:00 - 4:00 on Sundays , and occasionally on Saturday, too.
Sat and or Sun..11 to 3 seems to be when the buying planets all line up
I pick odd days and times and often hold them late weekday afternoons to capture folks on their way home from work. This depends, of course, on the home location!
I prefer Sunday afternoons since they have the best chance for attendance in my area. I occasionally will do a Saturday afternoon.
My vote is with Alan May Sunday 1-3 works in Erie for the agents that really 'work' the open house. Just an ad in paper, sign and prayer lead to boredom.
