I don't mind them in Social Media but I do tend to limit them in emails unless I need to smooth something that could be deemed as too harsh if read the wrong way!

Cute and trendy like Pac-man. Ask yourself; What are we trying to do here?

I dont use them, but I was reading about a new app that CAR has out with Realtor based emojis, then I went to the download site and read the reviews, apparently this program is a disaster and most are uninstalling the app.

Too 'cutesy' and 'personal' overall. Depending on the message, I'd probably say there might be a butt for that saddle, but use sparingly if at all.

Using them might not portray a level of professionalism to many viewers.

I don't think that they are professional. I do not like seeing them in marketing efforts and I tend to look down on companies that use them.
Once I'm doing business with the company and have a relationship with a person at the company, then that person can do emojis. The only exception is if a company uses the "Live Long and Prosper" aka "Spock" emoji. I overlook that one because of the Vulcan ideals it represents... and I've yet to see any non Star Trek company use it!

I just read an article on Hootsuite that emojis are a great way to get attention and should be used on most social media platforms. Just don't over-do it.

I don't have any opinion on them. However, not everyone understands the meaning of each emoji or the meaning of a particular emoji for different people may differ based on a variety of criteria.

Overuse bothers me but an occasional use is okay. I prefer words.

Allied Real Estate Schools I think they are unprofessional in any type of marketing.

They are okay in casual use, but I think they are so yesterday! There are not professional and do not inspire confidence in the brand. A

I think for anything other than personal use, they're lazy and unprofessional. There are much better choices of graphic elements available.

They're good to use on occasion to emphasize an emotion, but shouldn't be overused.

Social media, yes - other communication, not unless they're friends of mine or after the sale and I may text a nice message with a cute emoji.

I use them a lot in text messages.....probably more than I should... and in my Instagram posts and comments.
