If he usually does not talk like that I would let it go.  It probably was auto correct.

I would ignore it and keep moving forward as if it had not happened.

    If that is his manner of speaking to a lady (which is becoming regrettably common in our time), then cease contact with him once the deal is over. 

If it was an auto-correct, it may have been gone before your client realized what it said.  That has happened to me, but now I make sure everything is right before I send it.  I think the auto-correct goes out of its way to use inappropriate words, just to embarrass us.  If your client realized it, he or she is probably hoping you don't bring it up, so I would just let it pass and let your client wonder if you saw it.

If it was the only time he did that and it was out of character for him, just ignore it and complete the transaction. If the context was aimed at you or abusive, that is not acceptable.

Yes... stuff happens and if this is not typical of your client's behavior thru the transaction to-date, don't make a big deal of it. We've all heard these words before.

If it was directed at you, I'd probably say something. If it's just the f*** word, I'd ignore it. 

It happens, without knowing the rest of the message I would let it go.  That is as long as it doesn't happen again.

Move on, it's not with dwelling on.

Yes it is maybe a mistake and a slip of the fingers or as you say auto correct with a foul mouth.

One of the most professional women in my office sent an email to the office list serve that had the bomb, and it was Siri's doing - which was clear from the context.  So I'd ignor it. and get to the settlement table. 

I say you should get really offended and waste a ton of energy on it.

If they are the type of person that usually doesn't speak like that I would let it go.. I've sent some weird text :-)  We all try to check our text, but.. it happens.

If it was out of context and the nature of the buyer I would ignore it. I have had autocorrect embarass me.

I would ignore it if it is out of his persona.  A lady I would never repeat it, at least not during a business transaction.

I had to quit using my voice to text on my last phone because it was also cursing Chrissi Chapman Topoleski . I'm going to guess it was his phone. Was the F word in context to what he was saying.

yes. let it go. he cud be upset..or very happy. we have a very proper client who has been dropping lots of those lately..he is VERY frustrated with himself and mad at himself..we ignore it, they are not directed to us

Chrissi, depending on the client I would be shocked too.   I have one client that I would expect that from.

Set the standards that show the type of business you do. It is your choice to stay above or enter into. Remain silent on what may have been accidental and infrequent in occurrence is the best policy.

Some have such vulgar language, specific to some areas of NYC, that it is simply their expression. Public education often leads to a vocabulary of much shorter words and combine that with professional sports (and increasingly amateur sports) and you have a ...mess.

Depends - what kind of relationship do you have with them? Was the comment dirdcted at you or a general comment?

If it were me, I would ask them if they meant to say that - it may be they didn't notice and need to fix their broken "app".

I doubt it would autocorrect to an F bomb, plus he knows what he sent. I always, to my detriment sometimes, respond.

I call that an OOPS!  I've not done that but I could tell you some pretty funny words that went to the client and I saw it "after the fact" -- oops, too late!  So I usually come back with "you gotta love technology ... and my Fast Fat Finger Syndrome"

Could of been a mistake, but having the grace to be quiet about it, seems to be the best course of action.
