Yes!! Press releases are amazing! Barbara Todaro  remind me to get the info for Listing Experts Academy- we should do a module on press releases.

And one press release can lead to interviews, etc. When Nestor first moved here from Texas - I moved from the brokerage I was with because it was not a good fit for Nestor. We went to Re/Max. So new company... I wasn't new here, but Nestor was and now we were married with a team so we started doing 2 big things. One of those was to make sure that every week I sent out a press release and a photo of whatever it was the press release was about. This was in the day where you had to mail the press release in and get your photos at the WAGS 1 hour photo developing. The newspapers loved it, so did the radio stations.  We made sure that we went to important events that had to with business and real estate, so like Chamber of Commerce events, anytime there was a politician involved we were there for the photo opps. We also got involved with the Port of Palm Beach where they would invite ambassadors and presidents from other countries and we would get invites and photo opps! After a while, no matter where we went, people would come up to us and say, Hey, we saw you in the paper. It led to helping us be the top producers in the office. Katerina 

I used to before I started blogging.

Having a degree in PR it was a natural for me to pump out the press releases when time permitted and I had something interesting to write about.

Yes. Just did one earlier this year to celebrate my office's 10th year. It helps to have the publications' publisher as clients! ;)
When I get my CCIM pin, another will happen . . . achievements, projects that were wrapped up . . . that sort of thing.

I submit press releases to our local newspaper on every new achievement and ranking that any one of those for whom I market accomplish...

I have published them when I received a new designation such as CIPS and CRS.

Funny you should mention that.  I reached out to someone this week for help with a press release. Topics ... niche marketing. 

We used them for introductions mainly whether it was new associates, communities, financing or price adjustments. Whether from land, sea or air name recognition was the ultimate goal.

I did one, when I took over the YPN for the year.  It was just a local thing on my website and here.  I don't bother with the newspaper.  Don't know too many who still read it.

Yes but they are not the norm. I did them about a particular towns real estate market just like a blog post. No real increases or results but I gave it a go.

It was free too.

I've done quite a few through out the years - haven't done one in awhile

Mostly we did them to bolster our position in the serps which doesn't work anymore, or advertise a high end commercial listing, or when bringing on a new agent

I did them all the time in my past life job.  But not in real estate.

I really should do more of these.  It's been a few yrs and I forgot what I did them on.  I had meant to do one when we won Angie's List Super Service award 6 years in row.  May do next year.

Haven't done one in a while.  Past topics included new agents, new offers and business practices.

On an as needed basis.  Topics vary depending on the rationale for the press releae.
