I keep track but admit I have to do a little catching up with the details at the end of the week.

Yes. I keep track. Every time I travel for business ... it is logged. Destination logged. Miles traveled logged. Date logged. Purpose logged.

I track business miles daily. Some weeks it can be 200-300 miles. Others, less than 50

I keep track of it daily. I do travel out of town for meetings quite a bit in addition to trips to office and showings so the miles/week can vary widely.

Nope, annually and then my CPA does the standard % formula.
Not as many miles traveled as I used to, since I walk to work since my 8/2015 office relocation; my office is across the street from my HOA .

Keep good track of these everyday, but it varies greatly from week to week.

I have a small spiral notebook in the door that I record when I start out, and when I get back home. I drive about 500 miles per month, but sometimes that changes depending on what clients I have that month.

Peter Mohylsky - I have my schedules in my calendar - once in a month I tally the miles I drove to those places... nothing like an app or writing down miles everyday, though.

i do not as i have a few business dealings on the go and its too difficult to divide them out individually, so easier just to not try

Hi Peter - We used to, but our CPA suggested several years ago that we'd be better off going on actual expense and depreciation. Now he's decided that we would be better with mileage, but we can't do that until we get different cars, which isn't happening soon.

I use to when I was actively working..... I averaged a few hundred in a week....

I record as I need to. There is not average miles travelled for me in a week. It's all over the board.

Using my Google calendar makes it easy to transfer to paper and track. Of course, I'm behind on my totals.

Yes. The mileage varies by week and in our great land we drive kilometres not miles.

We sure do and always have for a variety of reasons including taxes and maintenance. Let me share our most recent app with you. It's not only free. It's unbelieveably accurate. We love it.
Here's a link to the site if you want to check it out.
Slide to the left to view total summary. This is pretty amazing.

I use my Garmin to track my mileage. I download it to a spreadsheet at the end of each month for tax purposes. The amount I drive varies. I will tell you I'm about to hit 180k miles on my vehicle. My last one went over $200k and I sold it. Now, I'm looking to buy another car.
