WOW!!!

Up until now I have been overly impressed with the quality of the professional interacting on this forum.  I am currently enrolled in Real Estate training (as Minnette Olsen is I'm assuming) and am required to ask questions, educate myself through their responses, and then report back to my training what I was able to glean from my findings.  

I can see how this may be daunting to some professionals to have these questions posed, but it is a requirement we are meeting for our educational experience in an effort to better ourselves.  If that such a problem for you, don't answer the question.  Or voice your opinion of disgust with whomever dictates what is and is not acceptable on this forum.  

Comments like those listed here have changed my perception of some of the professional I continually see as I engage in learning and blogging through active rain.  Try to be considerate of what reasons someone may be posing a question and revel in the fact that if it bothersome to you, you don't have to answer it.

Fannie had a weight problem and was constantly made fun of for her... name.

Freddie was the cousin of the rapper "Biggie Mac" and was best know for his dance moves... later named after him "The Freddie".

Ginnie Mae was Ellie Mae Clampet's best friend in high school and helped her found an animal rescue.

As Fred Griffin said, Some cousins on my uncle Sam's side of the family who keep taking money from us and giving it to some of their friends.

Fannie, Freddie and Ginnie are cousins who live in Homesville. All of their family and friends like to buy homes. 

I was friends with Freddie, divorced Ginnie, but found happiness with Fannie.

Nothing. At first, I thought they were very important people in the Real Estate business. When I learned they were agencies, I advanced. Today, not important for me to know about this

I don't know much about them - that's the lender's job to know and explain

They buy loans, bundle them up and sell them.

I remember that I don't know much about them, but I also remember that I don't need to know those details.... that's what your job is...

After reading the answers, I think I forgot that little I remembered about Fannie, Freddie and Ginnie. 

They screwed up the industry

I remember that my stock with Fannie Mae was in the 70-80 per share at one time.  Now its is down to about 4 bucks :(

They don't operate in our great nation.

I remember they were it back in the day.

Quasi-gov't public companies.  

Senior citizens bought stocks thinking it was a government agency value went down like a rock, many need to get a job at Mcdonalds for mishandling the lending policy.....

They have websites that will provide the information you need.
