Something on your end, Peter.

I just opened AR in 6 different browsers - Opera, Pale Moon, Baidu, Chrome, Firefox, Ice Dragon - I did a cut and paste in each one successfully.  I did not try Internet Explorer or Edge.

 BTW, I am on a HP Windows 10 PC laptop.

** Did you try the usual "clear your browser" and "reboot" and such?

I have been able to use cut and paste in doing blog posts, so it must be on your end.  I wish I knew how to help you fix it, I certainly would.

Once again Fred Griffin came to our rescue with the right answer!

I work almost exclusively from my iPad.  I can't cut and paste anything on AR.  When I highlight copy and cut, it goes away.  You have to copy and paste.  

When you copy from outside sources, you can try clicking <> in the tool bar and then paste the text in the window. 

Sounds like Fred Griffin resolved your problem.

Try firefox or a different browser.

Sometimes it depends on what program you are typing into.

Yah probably your browser - try firefox - chrome is a G product and nothing good comes from G LOL

Looks like you solved it, Peter. One trick if you have problems again is to paste into Word then copy and paste into your blog.

It seems like Fred Griffin gave you the right answer.

I haven't had any troubles copy and paste on AR today. I hope you get it figured out soon.

There were some good suggestions here, but glad you got it figured out. 

Browser. You can do it with IE, and sometimes with firefox. Sometimes this works. i copy and paste into my email as if i'm going to be writing an email. Open AR and email side by side on desk top. The i " select all" to highlight text in email, then i drag it over into AR.

Need more info: mac or pc. Firefox, Safari or Chrome. 

You can take screenshots. You can also select and copy. Then paste. 

I use Chrome....and I can cut and paste....

I have a PC and use chrome ... no issues cutting and pasting. Hum??

Be careful what you do cut and paste from other web sources.  You need permission to post, or at least a link to the article and author.

Have you tried downloading the target article into a file, then Save to Gmail - I do that a lot.  I have written a bunch of stuff as an email to me, saving it for later, then you can copy and paste right from there into a post.

Peter Mohylsky - I think it is a function of operating system and browsers also work the same way.

I believe it is on your end Friend. Reboot and start again.

Sometimes when this happens it is best to save your source as html, then paste this into the html input box.

I can cut and paste and still use Explorer

I would be careful doing that Peter, you can have formatting issues.

What browser are you using? And are you on a laptop or desktop? Or are you using that iPad? I cannot think of a reason you would not be able to cut and paste. 

What are you trying to "cut"? You may need to use the copy function and then try to paste.

Any more information would be helpful, I'm sure we can troubleshoot this.
