We ALL need to get out headright before we engage in a real estate transaction. Many agents are known to have their head in a very dark place and forget Rule#1 ... get your Headright!

It reminds me of amarching band, or the military when they pass by where the President is sitting and they all turn their heads to the right toward the President.

"Boy, you better get your head right, otherwise they're going to wipe the floor with you!"

A Virginia sytem of land patents, prevalent in the 1600's in which immigrants, including minor children, were entitled to 50 acres of land apiece. It was customary for the person paying passage to claim the headright, though the right appears to belong to the immigrant. Headrights could be sold or assigned to others. A headright system was also used in other states including South Carolina and Georgia.
