Because I am simple, I tend to answer simple questions.  

I typically don't like multi-part questions, a link in the question or anything that deals with commission.   I like the "fun" aspect of this section. 

As far as posts I read --- I have those who I follow and are consistent(whether it is daily or weekly) that I like and read.  I try to reciprocate comments but the lack of time(or no content from some who comment) are the two biggest constraints.  

I am a simple soul as well.  I feel the same as Michael Jacobs - some questions ramble on so much it is difficult to comprehend what the person is really asking. 

I like the fun questions as well as ones I can learn from - sometimes the answers are better than the questions!

As far as blogs there are lots of people I follow, read, and enjoy, depending on time. I've also started spending more time exploring new members and their posts

I have regulars but I also start my day with new members and their first blog posts..... one is as important as the other...

Questions: I look at all the ones I feel I can answer and contribute to... even if it's a funny or snarky remark.

Blogs: Two concepts there for me...

1. For points: Listings.  Usually plenty of those.  Second choice is market blogs.
2. For fun: I usually look at the featured blogs and read those that "speak to me" or stand out.  Other than that, I look at those that I follow with an emphasis on those that I interact with regularly in the Q&A section.

I seem to lean toward problem solving posts. Or, my client did this & I did that - I learn what other people do in certain circumstances.

I prefer questions that require an element of thought to respond.

I good question is as beneficial to the questioner as to the one resounding.

Both the asker and responder have opportunity to be changed.

I will make note that 99% of questions presented here on Active Rain are NOT seeking answers but simple 'social approval' to do what they were going to do anyway. Therefore the need for a probing question or insightful response are rendered moot.

Quick and to the point.  No outside links or re-directs.

I lean to those members who comment on my blogs.  I return the favor and comment on theirs.  I don't have favorites on the Q & A Section.

I always look through the first two pages of the Q & A's, and my Followed folks on Blogs, first!  I would not mention 'names' because that would not seem fair to everyone that I find interesting - there are too many!  I do like the 'Community' and 'Just for Fun' Q & A's - and titles of Blogs intrigue me, too!  I don't always have time to reply back, so I try to do a few because I enjoy doing that and it certainly doesn't seem like 'work'!

Posts - follow those who follow me do to time constraints!

When it comes to blogs I like those announcing new listings.  I enjoy seeing properties from other parts of the country and what price they are listed at.

Beats doing crossword puzzles not that early in the AM.

There are some AR folks stay up at 3 or 4 AM ans Q&A....

The ones I follow get preferential treatment - when it comes to Q&A I don't post or follow links nor do I comment on advertising posts - blog or otherwise.

No. I mostly see blogs as I reciprocate with comments. 

Leanne Carpenter - its not enough time to go past the Daily Drop and one page of questions.... and since they are featured or on top, they become my choice.

I don't like answering questions where I feel like I'm all of a sudden writing a blog post. Keep it simple. 

I have regular followers I read and comment on each day. 

The people who are loyal to me get it back. If you write a comment on my blog every day I will do the same for you Leanne. Try it.

I like the short and sweet questions and tend to avoid anonymous, avoid those without pictures and definitely do not like when people link a blog to a question, 

Anything that makes sense...gets my attention

Whatever pops up is what I read, very random.

I just see what catches my eye or mind in terms of topic. I also look for my "favorite" bloggers on AR, whom I follow closely. And if I click through and it's hard to read, I click right out. I don't like questions in Q&A that are actually topics better suited for a blog post.

As for blogs, start with the people I follow, then on to new bloggers, then skim through titles of all blogs and click on anything that looks like a creative take, significant industry update, etc.
