     Ballroom dance instructor.

    I had planned on going into real estate after college.  But I took a part-time job as a ballroom dance instructor, and stuck with that for several years.  That job involved sales; I learned a lot more than how to dance. 

Corporate. America. Nuff said...

I was a stay at home mom right before getting into real estate. I like the flexibility the job gave me.

Health Care Sales.

Radio Dispatcher supervisor for the Indiana Toll Road.

Corrections officer....Minnesota State Prison

Exhibiting in art festivals around the country.

I was in corporate Human Resources for 16 years

Erstwhile art dealer, nonprofit arts director and a slew of other long term sales related jobs for 30 years. It started with an evening telemarketing job at 16 - generating timeshare beach condos leads for Long & Foster. I told them their scripts were horrible, rewrote them and ended up training adults on my team and making commissions on the leads that showed up. WINNING!

Teaching middle school, no regrets thirty years later.  My only sales experience was selling Girl Scout cookies.  How about you James Hoff ?

Manufacturing, computer cad-cam stuff. I just wanted a totally different work environment where everyday would be different. 

I got what I wished for lol.

No sales experience, but I learned how to talk to all types of people in all types of situations.  I was in EMS for about 15 years.

Corporate finance. But I retired from corporate finance and I did not leave it to go into real estate. Some years after I retired I decided to go into real estate. But I "fell" into nothing.

I was in a legal field, but immigrated in this country and having two small kids had to find more ''flaxible'' occupation. I am glad I did. 

I spent 13 yrs. working in the dental field.

avertising.  Was in the business for 9 years.

research and development working with some famous SV people.

Never left the old career, just added more on to the existing business.

Engineering - Mechanical Design and Manufacturing.  When I moved to Bellingham WA the engineering job I had wasn't a match for my goals and the area didn't have any engineering jobs my engineering experience lined up with. I had been around real estate for many many years as my mom was a 30+ year RE vet so I figured I give it a go. The first two or three years were pretty rough financially but I survived.

I was the manager of Excrow department and a real estate investor

Graduated from college and did not know what I wanted to do! Next thing I know its real estate!

Auto sales(sales, manager)

I was in software sales before real estate.

Been in real estate, RE Investing, property management, house painting & construction all my life. I ran an entertainment company on weekends in parallel for 17 years, but essentially I've always been in the industry and related industries my whole teen-adult life.

Healthcare.  I was a hospital department head and a merger left me needing a new path....  Here I am and loving it!

Purchasing manager for a large Fortune 100 company.

29 years in law enforcement.  Wouldn't go back into it now with all the issues. 

I opened my first real estate office after finishing law school.

I was a contract Title Insurance Agent and stayed home when not working with my two girls at the time.

James Hoff - I was in IT - and Oracle DBA.

That was a 'thankless' job and so is this one...

I was an airline pilot.  Never had any sales experience before this.

Grew up in the business and sales before that.  Spent 15 years in Corporate IT.  Got tired of the politics involved with Corporate America and my last company was very much like Office Space.  Three seperate systems and people to report your time to.  TPS reports up the wazoo.  I actually had 8 different bosses, if not more!  I invested wisely and was able to retire from that life and do real estate without having to worry about where my next paycheck was coming from.

Banking customer service.

Before real estate, I started in retail in stock and then sales while in high school through college before positions in buying and store management.   

I've always loved real estate and architecture wanted to make the change sooner and still glad I finally did.  

Restuarant business.  To many hours   hahaha

I was a purchasing manager for a hospitality company. I had some experience with contracts and a limited amount of sales experience. My husband had been licensed for 2 years before I got my license and joined him in the business.
