I've owned blackberries.  Comparatively speaking I prefer eating them over the device.  

I currently have a Samsung.  I am getting the Samsung 7 Edge at the end of this month. 

I am breaking all of the rules here - by asking a question in my answer. 

What do you miss about the blackberry?  Is it the keyboard?

Interesting, Fred. I didn't know Blackberry was back in the market with this Android model. I plan to check it out. I did own a Blackberry when I first started this business years ago.

I have a millenial nephew who swears by his Blackberry  (but then again, we're Canadian!!)

Congress had a contract with Blackberry to supply their phones. It was canceled if that helps or has meaning

Fred Griffin if you miss Blackberry so much, go for it! However, I'd recommend - try Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

I use Verizon.  All their employees swear by samsung.

I had a blackberry a hundred years ago, I don't remember why I didn't get anaother one.  It's been to long...

Fred, I used Blackberry for several years and loved it but was forced to switch when I went into real estate and joined a big box rokerage. I was the lone BB user but hung on until one Saturday morning when I was preparing to show property.

The eKey (Supra) app would not update and I spent way too long on the phone with both BB and Supra tech support. The problem was that BB had not kept up with the software so showings were canceled that day and I ended up instead at the AT&T store ordering an iPhone.

Moral of the story...if you decide to go back to BB, make sure first that it will work will all your real estate needs. I don't think I could go back to BB now, that keyboard no longer appeals to me...

I have never had a phone that I liked as much as my Blackberry!

I was a long time Blackberry user then switched to Android, now iPhone. I do not miss the keyboard!

The choices are endless these days.  Good luck.   I'm simple so I go for simple. 

I do miss the physical keyboard of my Android G1.  Used to use the crackberry for work, found the keyboard to be a little small.  Nowdays with swype and voice recognition, I'm not sure about the usefullness of the thumb keyboard.

BB's encryption was great, but you had to be using their server for it to work.  With Gmail being encrypted now, I'm not really sure I see the benefit, other than supporting your favorite brand.

It looks interesting, Fred.  Alas, I have no experience with this one nor do I know anyone who has one.

I've heard the new Blackberries are good, but I'm not curious enough to leave iPhone.

I'm a boost customer so my options tend to be limited

I've heard there were problems with Blackberry, but I'vae also heard several complaints about some of the new Samsung models having glitches and short battery life. I keep getting meaages from verizon saying i need this Samsung phone. When I read veviews, most of the are negative, and they want me to pay $762.00 for the phone. Not going to happen.

When Blackberry came out with it's "smart phone" versions, I had so many issues I traded it in for a Samsung Galaxy. (And that's after many years of being a devoted Blackberry user.) Now I'm gun shy... don't have enough hours in my day to troubleshoot possible problems.

I am not familiar with this phone. Blog about it if you purchase one.

Go what you like the most. Who cares what other people think? By telling you that I like only iphone would not help you to make your decisions at all:) 

Once I got an iPhone (which I resisted) I am hooked and will never go back

I had 2 Blackberries back in the day but now am an iphone user and love it. I like the way it intergrates with my other Apple devices. Good luck with your purchase.

I would say that if you miss the blackberry...go back to it. I never had one. I'm happy with my Samsung phone.

Samsung or iPhone. Iphone 7 will be out so you should be able to get a iPhone 6 or 6s for a song.

I have an iphone.... my fit bit and scale are synchronized to my iphone.... next laptop, Apple..... soon.... 

Why?  Everything works on an Apple, come on, join the party.
