I have headed up a tema several times but now I am truly enjoying working by myself with a partner to give my overflow to and that can cover. I don't think I will ever do the big team thing again.

I feel like even as an individual we become a part of a team. Home Inspector, Escrow Officer, Insurance, Lender, Title all are part of our team.  Now having a partner or buyers or listing agents on my team, that would be different.  It's not for me right now.  Too many egos to work with, too many variables too.  How long do we both work, how do we share, can we leave whenever we want?

As an agent, I preferred working as an individual.  I tried the team thing and found other people's worth ethic just isn't the same as mine.  I don't want to judge people by their priorities, so I liked working alone.  When I owned my office, I did support my other agents and gave them referrals but did not work as a team, per se.

I've only worked as part of a Team with Roger, and that was actually the primary reason I got into a real estate career, so I cannot comment on working as an individual Harry F. D'Elia.  I have no comparison, though do know that I would have been learning and doing 'everything' as an individual, as opposed to concentrating in certain areas, and observing 'everything'.  It would have been very different!
