Funny you ask. Lived in Sarasota for a year and met many friends. Now, back in Chicago in a condo building with 21 units have not met one neighbor in over 2 months. Elevator always empty!

I greet, meet, inquire, help, share and repeat with all my neighbors. What they do is up to them. I accept them either way for none of us will be back this way again....

I walk with my neighbords, I talk with my neighbors, we take care of each other homes while the other is on vacation. I mill my own flour and bake my own bread and share it with neighbors. We chat whenever we see each other and we are also all friends on Facebook so we keep in touch that way too. I like to make extra for dinner and pass it along to one of my neighbors who has a disabled daughter- this gives her a little break from all her daily chores since her daughter can not take care of herself. 

I'm friendly with most of my neighbors, worked with one of them.  I don't post anything about that online, it's personal.  I do post my volunteerism.

It depends on the community.  We have a community here that does not share their email with the HOA.  It is not gated or snobby.  No one wants anything to do with social media and love their privacy.  If you drive through there, there a neighbors with dogs talking to other neighbors, horses being ridden, and life face to face is alive and well...If I lived there, I would be out talking to people...A

The NextDoor Neighborhood site is great for keeping in touch with the entire community. I've also sponsored neighborhood meet & greet bbqs.

I do blog posts on businesses located in my plaza to promoe all of us. Makes them happy.

We have regular happy hours in our community.

I've always stayed active in my neighborhood association.  It's been fun and people know me.

I prefer to not talk about some of the things I do with my community. I let my actions speak for me. 

I'm very involved in my church and community and run a couple of pretty popular community social media sites.

I know my neighbors well and it doesn't take social media to do this.

Not exactly social media... 

   We live on acreage.  Everybody has 2 to 8 acre parcels. 

 Recently there was a loud crashing noise late at night.  I came outside with a flashlight and a shotgun.  I saw another flashlight, I called out "Hey, Neighbor!"  That neighbor was holding a handgun.  Then a third neighbor appeared, he was holding a rifle.  

     We look out for each other, and for our neighborhood!

    We never did find out what the loud noise was.  We called the Sheriff, just for good measure.

Yes, I do blog about certain community/town based things. Also write about stuff that is stupid or costing us big money (like taxes).

Many posts get shared with social media, the topic of the post will determine which media and which page within the media.

I belong to NextDoor but it's not to promote business but to stay aware of community issues.   

I'm on my local communities board of directors.  Not sure how much it helps or hurts.

the only I time I see any neighbors is on the weekends when people are in their yards and gardens...

I recently began using NextDoor and it has been amazing. Neighbors from 4 surrounding developments share information about needs, questions, requests and welcome new neighbors as they move in. I encourage all of you to see if it is available in your communities!

Do I share with my social media how I interact with my neighbors? Is that what you are asking?

Yes, in a negative way. Some people are private.

I don't really know my neighbors very well - we talk in passing but we don't "hang out" so no, the anti-social media doesn't get to know that
