Rebecca Gaujot, the Go To Realtor® - it's a great idea - and I think there are some companies who help create such business pages.

In fact you can have it on your business page through 'Realtor.com' (forgot the details - but they do have something, free for NAR members.)

As a buyer, I would prefer to keep my fb time separate from my property search time.

I know where to go when I am ready to search.

A page with too many features just gets cumbersome and slow, and this can drive traffic away.

Yes, I think it would be helpful and will be working on a link from my FB page to my IDX search on my website. I also saw an email regarding paying for a separate service for the FB page.

I have one at the moment that brings up an IDX search from within FB (you can do it for free). I used to have one that went directly to the main IDX search page on my site. Quite honestly, I do not know how effective either of them are/were. While I have received a lot of biz from FB, I do not recall anyone saying they found my IDX search on FB and called as a result. However...it only takes one new client as a result of using it to make it worthwhile. It is free so why not give it a try, you have nothing to lose.

Save your money. I had it for a few years & no one used it. I believe there is only one service that does it & it's about 9.99 per month. Never had anyone do ever, big waste.

I certainly get mass solitications to add it but since I don't currently have a FB business page, it's a moot issue.   Maybe Anita Clark or Noah Seidenberg has some thoughts.

Facebook, like Google, is very, very good at presenting convenience for us while less obviously, providing convenience for itself.  Fellow commenters who prefer to have traffic going to their website have an excellent point.  Does it matter to us if some of our traffic sits on FB and doesn't come to our site at all?  My thanks to everyone for the question and the comments.  It has made me think.....

Rebecca,

I have no idea if this would work, it depends on your market, and I believe that this would have to be done through your IDX provider.  A

Although I think driving traffic to your website is important, your FB page these days is equally important and you cannot decide where and when your prospects want to search for homes; only they can...so why not provide the option and let them make up their own minds? You win, either way!
