The issue is the internet is changing, and they don't see it. I think Yahoo will not come back, just like AOL.

Like many home sellers that turn down the first offer, Yahoo made a big mistake and I doubt they will ever be on top again. 

But they will have a place in the history books, we all remember the contribution they made to the internet in the early years.

We shall see they are pretty much washed up.

Yahoo got about 5 B cash, their hdqtr in Santa Clara will be a huge housing complex.

Income is online advertisement which is like $600M/yr.

They will garage sale the rest of the non-producing crap, 100M eMail accounts....

Verizon is dead in my area. Subscribers can't get and receive clear calls in my area. I hope this helps Verizon and Yahoo. 

It would be nice to have an alternative to Google that doesn't censor results based on their liberal agenda.

Some guys at Yahoo must be pretty bummed, and some guys at Microsoft must feel like they dodged a bullet.  Not sure that Verizon can revise it.

Maybe, though I doubt the real estate arm will be Verizon's main priority. At least not in the beginning.

I'd hope so.  Yahoo RE was a good source for a while, not it pulls from other sites and isn't worth advertising on (IMO).

I don't believe that Verizon will be trying to bring back Yahoo real estate.  But, only time will tell.

Hi Fred - I think it's a natural pairing with AOL, which they bought a while back - maybe they're working on a time machine too.

Is this an example that can be used in real estate with the sellers who dismiss an initial offer because they think they can get more if they wait just a bit more?

Who knows what plans they have.

I do not use Verizon. Do they really have so much funds? 

No but I think that Verizon might go belly up trying to save yahoo. 

I don't follow either company and don't use services from either at the present time.
