I don't use flyers at all... I think people use them as a way to eliminate a property. I'd rather they call me or my auto-responder number where I can capture their phone and call them back. Does anyone use a QR code anymore?

Hi Paul - Flyers have mostly gone the way of seller-paid closing costs and contingent offers in our very hot market. I'm sure they'll be back and a perma-sign is a great alternative to killing more trees.

I still use flyers, mainly for my sellers benefit. I have done the QR signs as well and that works too-brings them right to my site!

Inside I provide 8" x 11" glossy postcards but outside I use a Text Rider. It takes Buyers right to the Listing and all photos and captures their number too. My Sellers LOVE this!

When I used flyers back in the day, I glued one to the inside of the plastic box. That way it was always there.
Today, I just make sure the house numbers are clear and legible, because 99% of people are going to google the address on their smart phone, then pull it up on ZTR.

I still print flyers even most of my business digital and I'd rather not waste any paper. A lot of people do not use QR code, and others have bad eyes and can not read on the street. Those who are good with technologies doe not need a flyers since they have all information they need in their mobile devices.

Paul, I actually had my mother's house sell to some people who checked out the virtual tour by zapping the QR Code. I haven't seen one of those in ages, but I think they are promising.

We've been using Brochure Fliers in front of every property we have ever listed in the past 22 years and we have no plans to change. People pick up these brochures and get the information they need instantly and if they have additional questions call us directly. I've sold alot of homes specifically bcause of those brochures. No need to change. I also have a banner on every one of my signs with our web address so people can see a virtual tour and see all our other inventory or search the MLS using our IDX technology.

We no longer use flyer boxes on our signs. We use a SMS code to get more info about the house on some of our signs, and then we also have way too many gated communities that either don't allow sign or you have to buy the one they say to buy which are always tiny and ugly. :(

I got tired of the sun beaten or soggy fliers, too, Paul. Now I just put up a sign with my name rider. Maybe another rider like...custom home, or gotta see ths one.

I quit using print flyer's in brochure boxes for reasons that include what you just said....flyer's got soggy, dirty, curled in the heat and eventually got strewn all over the neighborhood. Then the calls came in to come pick up the mess that typically was not the kind of call I wanted to get.
Then with the digital age buyers want to see the home on their mobile device. They want all the info, photos, map, school info and more. I have a UR and a/or a QR Code and ability for them to get everything they need in one place and I get an auto response with their info when they download it. So they get what they need and I get what I need from them.

I don't use flyers anymore on my signs. I use the KWKLY rider that has a number to text for info and photos. It works well and captures the phone number so I can call and assist.

Paul,

I do not use a flyer box. I am with Lyn Sims and Nina Hollander - rarely do I see a flyer box in my area ... at least one that is not empty.

I use a sign rider with a QR code that goes direct to the website so they get all the information in seconds! FLyers inside, but normally not out. Depends on the property and the neighborhood

That probably depends where you are located. In Carmel-by-the-Sea, you want those boxes full of glossy flyers especially around the weekend because buyers are driving around and not necessarily calling. You want them to take your flyer with them.

I use a property url or text number so a potential home buyer can pull up the information on the home immediately. Why?
- I dont have to worry about running out of flyers.
- Dont have to update the fliers if there is a price change
- I have the ability to capture a lead.

Very few agents use flyers or QR codes in this area. I saw flyer box yesterday in front of house that had been on the market for six months. Box was empty.

I do like the QR codes, but too few use them. Have not used flyers for many many years though, too messy.

No flyers. With all the apps, signs and GPS...less (no flyers) gets more results. The traditional ways while effective are being revamped or let go of mefinds

I use both. many people in this area don't have smart phones, and don't know much about qr codes.

Here in our community, we are still doing the flyers for the box, as lots of folks driving by, biking, or walking dogs are stopping to pick them up. If the wind blows the lid of the box up, they can get soggy after a rain storm, though we don't have them very often, and I've never had to pick up any that got blown around. I know that everyone here doesn't have a SmartPhone, so for us, the flyers are still working Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington.

We haven't done flyers in a few years. We will do them if the seller asks, which isn't very often.

I have never used flyers on a for sale sign. I do use a QR code on a sign rider. You want to capture the buyer as well. If a potential buyer has all the information and there is one thing they don't like about the listing, then you will never know what the are actually looking for.
5,251,286
I am still old fashion and still have flyers with information on the back about payment plan.
1,012,138
No flyers for me, ever - why would give out all the information without being able to speak with potential customers?
IMO, you put out the flyers and there's no reason for a potential buyer to call you

I have a text rider and when people text it, they get an immediate link to a copy of the dedicated website with pictures, listing information, school information, a tour, and I get their phone number so I can call them :).

I no longer use flyers on the outside, but I do have colored brochures on the inside of the listing. I never used the QR code, but I do have my website and phone number on my signs and have gotten calls regarding listings.

Sometimes at the properties but our flyers in a rack outside our office - which is at a shopping center - are what really get us good results.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington - I just leave few flyers at home.
Like the idea of PERMA-SIGNS.

None of the above. What's the point when someone can type in the address online and find the home.
