One reason I'm with my particular company is because we have no sales meetings ever! Busy agents have no time for them. We are busy selling. Can't remember the last time I attended a brokerage sales meeting.

We introduce new agents and make announcements that are important to the agents. We then give each agent the opportunity to talk about their wants, needs, and properties they have for sale.

My company no longer has regular meetings. If they were to have them again, I would like speakers are what is happening in the real estate industry.

Honestly, I would rather spend my time working on my business than sitting in a meeting for an hour or so. With so many things being electronic, I think an email telling us about changes in the office, or RE laws for our state would be OK in an email or maybe a webinar. Time spent in the office on a meeting is time taken away from my family or prospecting.

When we had an actual office, we found the office meetings a waste of time. We have meetings over the net now.

I don't have time for monthly meetings, let alone weekly - I'm too busy for that

We have them bi-weekly, James Hoff and find them very beneficial. It takes little time (30 minutes) and I have learned more at those meetings than I did in real estate update classes! After our classes, it seems that the Commission comes out with new forms and the 'hot spots' on those forms are reviewed. As well, agents share 'real life' experiences that truly do help those who have not yet experienced issues at-hand and I find that very helpful.
Richie Alan Naggar mentioned role-playing - even if you're not actually role-playing, hearing how others handle difficult situations always makes my short visit to the office well worth it!

We have weekly meetings that are really well-attended. The meetings cover just about anything you could think about that is important to a high-quality real estate practice. I go because they are fun and I always learn something.

We go over forms, company policies and trends for a hour and a half.

Nope, don't want to attend. I go when there are new loan programs, contract updates that's it.
Monthly only.
What would be good is if we switched to G Hangouts or something.

We have Weekly Sales Meetings and they are brief, since a New Home-on-the-Market Tour might be part of that Meeting, also. I try to attend all, provided I don't have a client commitment or an appointment James Hoff. Topics I have found useful are Up-Dated Reports on Homes Sold, New Homes on Market, any new issues from TAR (Tucson Association of Realtors), any new issues with Home Warranties, any new Lending issues, etc. We get analytical reports as our Manager is that kind of guy, and I realize that does not appeal to everyone! I like the Inspirational Quote at the end of our Meetings, also.

We don't have them. Of course, it's just me that would be attending and for some reason you're not supposed to talk to yourself...

A few decades ago I spend a fair amount of time preparing a learning experience for my staff each week, but in the modern age they would prefer that I send them a link to the info I want them to learn online.
So much stuff out there that there is no real purpose in reinventing the wheel.

We have weekly office meetings. Some have relevant topics involving new forms(always in California) and legal issues(ditto California).

My office has monthly breadfast meetings and always has outside speakers as well a presentation by the broker.

Mine has a monthly sales meeting, and I've attended the ones that offer free CE or have had excellent speakers about a topic of interest. There has been a wide range of topics covered.

My office has monthly sales meetings and they bring in our attorneys to review new rules, regs and laws, which I find informative. A mortgage broker gives an update on types of loans, and what I especially find helpful and inspiring is the broker "story" of the month. This is usually about an usual and difficult transaction and how they turned it into a successful one.

James Hoff - we can talk a lot about the market, what's new, what's hot and what's not - plus changes in the mortgage industry, other vendors, etc. I usually attend such meetings.
1,543,823
We don of have them, and I do not miss them after 16 years of attending them. Largely a waste of time unless to discuss contract & disclosure changes or a new law, that type of thing. Most topics can be covered in Facebook posts and company newsletter. I'd only host them if I ran a single team boutique style brokerage. They would be designed more around team goals & masterminding specific challenges.

We often have local vendors give presentations. My husband will be using the services of a local carpet cleaner that was at one of our sales meetings recently.

We cover many topics at office meetings - from changes to our technology (we went cloud storage this year) to changes in our forms we use (essential everyone knows these) to land use changes and changes to laws which impact us. One hour a week is nothing to be knowledgeable on essential information impacting your business. Inevitably I hear each week from agents asking questions on items we covered at our meetings. Obviously they weren't there.
