how about starting a Caucasion college fund...Ok, don't get me started.

Luckily for us, the university, not real estate agents, will be "steering" people to those dorms.

I think it's ironic and seems to counteract/reverse the efforts and advances of the civil rights movement in the past. 

I couldn't believe this when I first read it.  Kept checking to see if it was from The Onion.  I bet MLK is rolling in his grave right now.

I am sticking with Scott Godzyk on this one.  (While shaking my head in dismay at where we are going; it does not seem healthy or right).   However, this article REALLY has me shaking my head... Brown University placing female products in men's bathrooms.

Some days my head feels as if it will explode. 

Does this mean that steering and redlining in RE  will also be OK as long as it is only for the one race?

Yes, Fred. It's a step in the wrong direction, IMO. It makes all the past civil rights struggles seem useless.

I would not want to pay the possible legal costs related to this decision.

I think, there is plenty of racial segregation. How come that someone can get into college( study or work) solely on his/her skin color, because they need to fill the space to appear equal.

Not sure what to think.  If people feel unsafe, why aren't people trying to remedy that underlying issues?  As a female, there are a lot of rapes on campuses -- and that gets buried and the woman is scorned and blamed.  So I have very missed feelings on this. 

I don't underdstand how they can do this and think it is moving in the wrong direction.

Yes, that's going opposite of fair housing opportunity. It's Illegal.

 Sure it is wrong, but the courts are generally willing to allow it if a formerly or currently oppressed part of society asks for it.

There is a Ted talk by a Syrian architect who pointed out that the trouble in the Middle East started with segregated housing, and here we are doing just that.

This is so revolting in so many ways. The majority giving in to the demands of a small group of people looking to furrther divide us.

The idea sounds ridiculous. I doubt if students comply. What's next, a wing and a lounge only for black teachers?

When I, as a Canadian, see your election polls I am continually amazed at the breakdowns: Hispanic, Black, Male, Female, Evangelicals, White Supremacists . . .  Wouldn't it make more sense in 2016 to simply pool together as "people"?  Can't a White Supremacist be concerned about the economy and foreign affairs? Can't men and women be concerned about the same issues?  This sort of segregation worries me.

This question reminds me of "Black lives matter" and "White Lives Matter". There has been so much in the news about the "Black Lives Matter" folks but I read recently that the "White Lives Matter" folks are being called racist.

I don't know what's up with that...should be "All live matter"...

America gives us all a chance to cast off these petty differences if we choose. Even with all our rights & rules, we fail. Some get stuck or perpetrate for selfish reasons this dysfunctional tagging and make a false life out of it. I see mankind for what it is which consists of a male or female.... not races...

I have come to the conclusion that only Caucasians are allowed to wear the discriminator badge.  it's, apparently, fair game for any other race to exclude or be exclusive.

I live in one of the most culturally diversified cities in the US. When it comes to dorm housing every year this bias gets blown out of proportion.

In fact, no president or chancellor lasts long locally. 

With work place it is lesser obvious until the economy turns sour.
