I have learned that it is best to seperate the segments of the transaction. The LO takes their part, you take your part. It's OK if they have questions for you but I have shifted the questions where they need to be.

Why recommend a LO if you have to do all the hand holding?  If they complain about the paperwork requests I tell them it's necessary & let's man up about this. You have to provide what the lender asks for period.

I stay on top of lenders and my clients. At the end of the day, it's up to me to make sure the transaction gets to the closing table.

As a buyer's agent: you need to be on them every few days for a status.  More if they don't have their stuff together, less if they do.  The closer you get to closing, you need to be riding them like you're an old time cowboy fleeing a pack of savage outlaws!  I wouldn't trust BofA AT ALL to close on time and I'd be on them a second skin every second of every day.  Hell, I'd permanently stay in the underwritter's office and go all "Gunnery Sgt. Hartman" on them!!

As a listing agent: Get regular updates from the buyer's agent and call the LO if needed.

What "your clients" are you referring?  Are the "your clients" the seller or the buyer?  It's not about thinking you should be involved, it's a fact.  I have no idea what you are saying in your last sentence.  It makes no sense to me at all.

Selina Woody I think it is more of working with the client to comply with lender requests in a timely manner. Sometimes it does take a call to the lender to keep them on track.

I stay involved as much as I need to be to make it happen!  Some lenders are amazing and little is required of me to create a good flow, and then others need constant pushes. Every transaction is different.
