Ever so slightly by the actual weather here in Sarasota, but it looks like it will hold up a closing due for Friday! Darn it; I needed that money to evacuate to the Bahamas..whoops! Wrong direction!

No, haven't been affected by a hurricane named Matthew, I have been more affected by a S.O.B. named Matthew in the recent past though.

Ginger,
I don't think so, and I hope that it does not affect you badly or anyone else for that matter. Keeping our fingers crossed. A

Be safe Ginger Harper and ready with water & non-perishable food, etc.
We are lucky here along Lake Erie as very few hurricanes knock on our door. Just snow which we can handle.

We are on the Gulf coast of Florida so this time around, we don't seem to be in the storm's path. Hope you'll be safe.

Too far to the east of me in Florida.
Take care, Ginger... stock up on bottled water and canned food, fill the gas tank in your car, have flashlights and oil lamps handy in case the power goes out.

We evacuated. Cocoa Beach is a barrier island and there is a mandatory evacuation order. We are relaxing in a nice hotel on the mainland, have reservations until at least Sunday, depending on how much damage there is. Matthew is predicted to be a Cat 4 just 35 miles off shore when it goes by. Worst we have seen in 30 years here.

I am in Naples which is in SW Florida and while we may have winds and rain, I think we won't feel the brunt like Miami might.

not in a way that that is potentially harmful, but a Saturday event has been pushed to Sunday and I'm totally bummbed about it.

Another hurricane already, you all may want to move to a more hospitable part of the country.
I know of some good homes available in parts of the country without hurricanes if you are interested in escape.

I am not even close however there seems to be ripple effects in the weather patterns when hurricanes hit. My prayers are out for all.
