Waiting to see what Samsung will replace the combustible 7 with.

I see someone else had my suggestion:  get another Samsung 6, since you loved it.

I have a Galaxy Edge 7 and love it. 

I'd hold off if you can to see what Samsungs next move is.  I'm on my last iPhone, won't be purchasing another after the 6 I have dies.

I just got the samsung 7 ACTIVE  I LOVE IT!  it is great... has so many features.. and it has buttons at the bottom...real button so it is easy to go forward, back to home whatever...  it is water proof too  I really like it!

I've been a Samsung girl for a long time... I have a 6 and it works fine...never feel the need to replace all that frequently. I'd probably take a wait and see attitude before making any changes.

Lynnea Miller - Did not know Samsung Galaxy S7 has same issues as Note 7.

I have Samsung Galaxy Note 5 - and am very happy with it (including the largest screen size in smartphones.)

It depends on how much you do on it. I am loving my HTC One M9, yet with few things I'll hope for it to work better. If I'll change phone, I'll definitely go for Samsung. Just as suggested, wait for the fix to be over.

My recommendation is that you go and check them all out.  Find out how it feels for you.  That is what matters most!  !  Everyone has a good product, so check it out.  A

Nexus 6p or the Pixel from Google.  You won't be disappointed!

I love my iphone and am about to upgrade to the 7

You can get the Samsung 7 phone, but the Note will no longer be available.  I am planning to return my Note this week and get the regular 7 one (perhaps the Edge). 

I was planning to do the same. Just going to wait for a new and fireproof Samsung to hit the market!

Probably wait for the solution to the battery...... If one wants a fast charge long life battery, the lithum-ion works like to hand granade.  It wants to release all energy stored.  Perhaps they will control the rate of charge make it less flammable. Li-Ion batteries are 25 years old so not a new thing. Needing to fine tune a bit.

For same reason, submarine batteries are still made the old acid car type with eletrode.

I am an iphone lover all the way. I love that I can share amongst all my Mac products. The camera is super and I have finally learned to use most of the functions.

Go with another 6, reliable, cheaper, and not likely to burst into flames.

See if you can get another 6. It won't cost you as much for it, either. 

I think Samsung is just having trouble with the note, there is a Samsung 7 and the Edge 7.   

I would switch to an iphone. Samsung has recalls on appliances as well..

I would run from Samsung..

If you like your 6, get another. I'm on my second Samsung 5 and very happy with it.  

Wait for some time to let the air clear. Samsung has a definite problem with the 7! Too soon to sort it out. I am sticking with my iPhone 5 for now!

I'm liking my iPhone7 a lot. I'm looking for a satchel of some kind to elegantly carry these GREAT BIG (easy to read)  'mobile' devices.

I've just had the same problem & was going to go with the flaming Note 7. It was just days before all this happened. I'm going to stay put for now but look forward to their resolve in the matter.

Has not changed my mind about Samsung at all.

Has anyone tried the new phone from google? I really don't know much about the differences in all the smart phones these days. Maybe go to a Verizon or att store and compare.
