So Paul, how much did that little advertising stunt cost you? lol And to answer your question I will have to say no. Mark
Anna Banana Kruchten A...
Greg Nino did a blog post some time ago about a herd of Texas cattle that got out of a truck and were wandering around in a neighborhood.
No, but my house was a few weeks ago :(
Panama City, FL
And when the people who recognized your sign in the news call you up to heckle and ask if you knew the fleeing suspect, lol, you can say, No, but does the caller know him? You're looking for the suspect to see if he needs to buy a house in a new area, and you'll find him a great new home...just like you'll find the caller a great new home, if he's looking. Turn it to your advantage, Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington.
that is funny except that it might not be good for the listing... high crime area?
Thank God NO!
Any advertising is good advertising!
I've never experienced that.
No, but that's pretty cool marketing! There is one listing right now that was the scene of a murder two months before it listed. I haven't seen any disclosure about it and I don't think the seller told the agent.
Nice free publicity! Must say this never happened to me.
No. However, I have seen many indicators of domestic violence.
I guess not all advertising is good advertising, eh Paul? LOL
We had an incident recently but it wasn't a clients house LOL
My bank owned ones, sadly yes
Thank goodness no.
I would have to say no at this time
No, never, thank goodness!
For you --- did you receive any phone calls from that "advertising"?
Talk about free advertising; love it!
No, not sure if that would be good publicity or not.
no....we live in a calm, low crime area....
Wow! No, thankfully, I have not had that experience.
Yes, found owner deceased in house. Not so rare here in Florida.
Yes, in regards to neighboring house and once a truly crime riddled street where tragedy in every house except the one I was in. Owner may not have been impressed with 'disclosure' issues.
So Paul, the real question is, did it make your phone ring?
I can't say that I've ever seen my listing on the evening news. Unplannned marketing! So, did you get any business from the exposure?
Yes an investment we were selling was busted for prostitution house, and there was my sign-front and center.
Oh, fortunately not. Not sure if if such PR would be desirable for my business in any ways.
Thankfully this situation has not come up! if it did you would all see it on the TV show Alaska Troopers.... we dont get a lot of that around here!
Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington not yet!
And I know how it's going to impact the listing, if this happens....
Fortunately I have not had that problem.
That has never happened and glad it hasn't. That would be hard to overcome.
Not with a house I listed-but I attended a wedding many years ago with my mother-we had custody of my toddler neice at the time, and was told we could not come home because there was a suspected murderer in the neighborhood and it was on lock down and there was a swat team in my driveway-
You know what they say Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington there is no such thing as bad PR!
No, but we had a seller once that was in jail. It was a short sale.
Where did I hear that "all p.r. is good p.r."?
No sir, can't say it has happened to me.
No, that hasn't happened to me, and I'm glad!
At least your sign got some airtime.
Not a crime scene but the seller was accused of a crime and it showedmy lisitng and my sign
We currently have a listing in contract which was the scene of a murder/suicide which happened just after we got the listing but before we started marketing it. We are scheduled to close next month.
No - I haven't had to deal with that situation yet.
That would be oops! Maybe make some news about it talking about yourself, your business and the property. Good reference point. I guess
No, this is quite the story. The only time our listing was featured was in a film...you could barely see it in the frame...A
That is scary Paul. This has never happened to me
No, and I hope I never ever do, that kind of publicity one can do without!
No, and I hope not to jinx myself but NO. Well, Paul, the good news, the bright side I guess, in your story I suppose is that the crooks didn't grafitti, or break windows, vandalize your Listing. That would have been worse. Bummer though to have that on the News with your Sign. A Deterent for Buyers.
What great advertisement, I think, Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington! No, I have not yet been in this situation.
Gwen Banta just did a post where one photo of a listing was of the swat team in front of the neighbors.
No I haven't & hope I don't.
You should get some great phone calls from that exposure Paul.
Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington I don't think this is the kind of visibility you need.
