Instant on hot water that is continuous. They have been improving a lot and we are seeing them in more new construction.

This is a horrible idea that people have been pushing.  You have a limited amount of water, often not enough for a shower.  In the event of an earthquake, you nolonger have 30-75 gallons of drinkable water at your disposal.

If I find a house with them, I rip them out.  If I'm showing a house with one, so far every buyer has not wanted to buy the house BECAUSE of it!

Tankless or On Demand hot water heaters simply heat the water as it's needed. I've had mine for 16 years and it has saved me a ton of money. Plus we never run out of hot water.

It does not hold water in a tank and continue to keep it hot but heats it on demand. It saves energy and is very quick to heat it instantly. We have two in our house.

We see a lot of them down here, and people who have them love them.  It takes far less time for the water from the faucet to warm up, and you won't run out of hot water.

They are also called on demand water heaters.  They heat water as you need it and have no reserve.

I saw it in Japan over 25 years ago. Hot water by gas or bottled gas on demand. It took a long time to get these low flow Toto toilet and tankless over here. I think the price is too high....

It is a system usually run by gas that heats the water without the use of a tank. I once had one and loved it.

A proven technology, used widely in many countries, that aligns with the common sense of not heating water when you don't need hot water.

Incredibly economical to install, and when natural gas is available, cheap to run. For those homes with 2 bedrooms, even the electric tank-less will prove economically beneficial.

Be aware, when long runs are involved, you will still need to run the water, just like with a tank system, to find the hot water. However, they are so inexpensive, one can place the tank-less closer to the user.

Over ten years of experience and no one is ripping out a tank-less to put in those space hogs.
