Dig trench, sometimes useful on a hillside where trenches wind into a catch basin Line with old wood Do not use black walnut it's toxic. Stack them side by side. Even use a few s a raised bed frame. Fill the top with a lasagna of old fall golden leaves, next grass clipping, next perhaps vegetable scraps NO FATS nothing with meat. keep layering, a layer of your clay or yucky soil is fine too, then on top goes compost or mulch and go ahead an plant on it. Will take some pics for you
