Not jobs market per se, but the stats as to the employment rate.

Not particularly since our primary market here in Sarasota is retirees! I do keep an eye on the National Economic outlook and securities markets daily however.

I keep an eye on employment in Charlotte and in North Carolina.

I don't, because most of my community is about vacation properties. But, with the influx of so many moving to Portland OR, about 90 mins away, some have decided to move out here, and if they can work remotely, they can live in a quieter lake community without the onslaught of noise and traffic that's increased in the urban areas of Portland.

Not as often as I should probably, but overall yes. It is important for the market I work in.

Of course I watch what's happening with jobs in this area. That will be a big factor in determining what's happening with the real estate market.

As my adult daughter has found out, there are very few jobs available in the Naples market and they are mostly hospitality and service industry and pay the mininum wage.

No.  I can't control that.  All I know is that everyday someone is going to buy or sell a house and I want to find that person.

My area is not very dependent on the job market.

I don't really follow that info.  It isn't accurately recorded (unemployed over six months and you fall off the report).  It also fails to consider under employment (a Ph.D. or M.D. flipping burgers for example).  It considers that fully employed, even if they are not employed to their potential.

It is important to give sellers some projections and market predictions. It can also help to get buyers moving

Yes - all the time.  A strong jobs market means people moving to the area which means housing demand.

I will check it out Annette Lawrence , Palm Harbor, FL 727-420-4041 . Jobs are a huge factor here in NH as manufacturing jobs have been sent over seas and as industrial areas lay empty, financial and computer based companies bring in workers from all of the country to NH in mass.
