No, I don't bother with graphics like these because the VAST majority of these sites are so obscure that if you looked at the names you'd say "why the F are you posting there?"  I leave it with "all the most important places" or something to that effect.  If the "well bob puts it on 500 places" I ask them "Realtor.com, Redfin and Zillow get over 80% of the search traffic, is someone really going to go to Ylopo to look for a home?"  (and yes, that's one of the 90 odd some sites our MLS syncs to). 

 

I focus my attention to the sites that have the most traffic, but I do syndicate through those sites to thousands of websites.

 

If it gets down to it, I tell them the facts:

  1. The MLS puts it out automatically to over 500 websites.  This is something EVERY realtor gets.
  2. What separates me from them is my ability to go above and beyond the basics that 100% of realtors get for free to make their home shine.

Something similar - I do a Power Point Presentation and when I get to this, I explain that this is a simplfied graphic to explain how syndication works. We have to have them opt in or out of syndication in our listing agreements so, making sure they understand how beneficial syndication is to them, is important to me.

No I don't have a graphic like that to explain syndication. I don't even put my listings out to all of those sites. Remember we are responsible for the listing once it's online. We need to be sure to make changes when they happen...like the property getting sold. Our MLS will automatically syndicate for us, but the office selects where they go, and keeping it down to about five places makes it easy to keep track of the listings.
