One of the homeless fellows I work with has been ringing for the Salvation Army for the past few weeks.  I have never seen him so happy, just beaming when he tells me how much he loves having a job.

Have you studied where the Salvation Army puts their money ?  Do you know that they have requirements for who can marry who and be in their employ ?  If you take the time...you would not find time to ring bells or fill kettles.

There are real estate companies who ask their agents to do it, but I like to give time and gifts to children's charities and fundraisers.

I am not bell ringing this year. I cannot stand in the cold even with several layers on. It is the blood thinners I am on. I alway smile and give though.

Not sure what you're asking, but if it's the Salvation Army, they are good people.  I lived in the Gramercy Park Evangeline Residence when I lived in New York.  It was a gorgeous place that was totally affordable for "young businesswomen".  I still send them money!
