Hope you don't take this the wrong way but if you view yourself as rising I suggest you step back and make sure you don't become a cocky agent type as that drives away business.
As I was building my career years back the area that I wish I had solved quicker was time management. I should have set things up quicker and hired an admin quicker. I was too busy in today to continue to think about tommorrow and organize yesterday.

Do something daily to build a wealth of informational and human resources--ask questions of experts and gather info and contacts. Exchange and share. We get paid for what and whom we know. Know more every day.

My advice is to start the way you want to finish. Have your systems in place and work smart and not hard. Block out personal time on your schedule each month BEFORE anything else gets entered or risk becoming a success in business only!

Check out what other top agents in your area are doing. Do NOT try to be the agent to everyone - focus. Network, network, network, and keep in mind the key to success will include learning every day!

Prospect (look for business) every day.
Buyers: Don't work with people who are right on the edge financially and can barely qualify for a loan. Don't waste time with lookers. Refer them to someone else.
Sellers: Your listings are a reflection of you and your business. Take only correctly priced, "quality" listings. Refer anything else to another agent or Broker.

First, by calling yourself a rising real estate agent I think you are on the right track. Find a mentor or two and model yourself after them. Get lots of education and work long hours reaching out to people. Always follow up.

Wake up every morning and begin by reviewing your Mission Statement. (See Stephen Covey or others if you haven't created one yet. Be sure it is short, focused and inspires you to action.) Then get up and TAKE ACTION.

Ashley,
Your question identified 'MINDSET' as the focus of your question.
This focus is entirely different than tips regarding how to orgainize your business and manage your tasks.
Mindset, in the most cosmic terms, is all about your RELATIONSHIP to success and reconciliation to death. Until you have wrestled with these issues, they will assert influence of your behavior in subconscious, counter-intuitive and, unfortunately, subversive ways. That means your, hardwired expectation embraces counter intentions that will prevail.
Mindset is not about content avoidance but content replacement.
The most useful exercises for you today are:
1. know your greater purpose
2. take the genius test to better understand your type. From this you will better know how you operate and the best way to structure or build your team.
3. know where you vocation and avocation intersect exists. This culminates is the understanding that real estate is your vessel, not your destiny.
4. Refer to #1. Remind yourself every day that is it NEVER about you.
Best of success Ashley,
Annette.

Learn everything you can about the area you service and the market there. Practice your scripts until they are natural to you and you automatically know what to say. Knowing what to say and having the right info. contribute to your confidence and mindset so much you wouldn't believe it. Also, helping new agents and other struggling agents every little bit you can will also go a long way towards helping you learn and making friends for life. I wish you great success in your business.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel said it - find a niche and immerse yourself in that niche! Preview, market, farm and advertise in that community/niche's newsletters, etc. BE the go-to agent in that market.
